What is so "STUPID" about the spending anyway? It's all going to worthy causes like fixing up schools, making us energy independent (so that we won't be funding terrorist organizations in the future by using oil), funding research into new environmental fuels, tracking global warming, funding new scientific research, improving infrastrutucture, etc.

I really want to encourage everyone to get educated about the new spending program.

Government can't produce anything except destruction and corruption when left to their own devices. It's the nature of government. When government spends it means they took money out of the private sector, or burdened us with debt and inflation, and will use the money to favor one group over another or use it to expand or create more bureaucracy. You are right that new business needs to be started but thanks to the current policies, it has become harder and harder to do so and come out successfull.

This is the biggest load of propoganda I have ever heard in my life and has already been proven to be untrue. Governments keep us secure, safe, and lay down the foundations for businesses to prosper. Government's also provide the infrastruture that makes all of our lives better.
Also, government did not "take money out of the private sector" it was corrupt a-holes at the top of all these companies who enjoyed deregulation and no government oversight who walked away with huge severance packages while leaving companies and their employees in shambles. Those are the losers who took the money.

Go to downtown Orlando. Get on the elevator of the Bank of America Center building. It's 409 feet tall, and won't cost you $16.

but a friend (TDLFAN) posted some amazing pics on another site's TDL board (Micechat) showing the crowds at TDL this past Tuesday.

Since this thread was ostensibly started to talk about how big the crowds are at MK now, I thought some of you folks (some won't even bother looking) might like to see what a TRULY crowded park (in the middle of an economic meltdown) looks like.

It also may make you wonder how 'real' the numbers are that show annually the MK is the most-visited theme park in the world.

I can count on perhaps three days (NYE, Christmas and Easter) when the MK has been remotely as packed as TDL -- and TDL's capacity is considerably higher to begin with as it has many more attractions and NO dead zones AND has a much higher level of staffing.

Anyway, it really speaks volumes of how if you build something of TRUE DISNEY QUALITY and keep it fresh and clean and staffed by people who care that folks will show up with very little discounting at all.
