In my opinion, AA is the finest stage show ever created for any theme park by far.
It's also something that would NEVER be created today by WDI. A long, expensive, AA-centric show that depicts the history of our great land.
Nope.
It's much easier to build an empty soundstage/warehouse type building and toss in a 2-3 minute thrill ride with plywood flats (RnRC) or a simulator (MS) or a drive in a convertible (TT).
I never miss AA on a WDW visit. Funny how shows like AA have legs and can go on indefinitely with just a little TLC and updating ...
While I agree with most of what you're saying here, you can't honestly tell me that the main reason why AA remains a popular attraction is because of what it is rather than its subject matter.
We're in the US and a lot of people eat up the whole American pride thing. Of course people will go see it. I'm more likely to go see American Adventure than O Canada or Impressions de France. I'm American so I'm more drawn to that show.
