ok can we get this thread back on track.
Agreed.ok can we get this thread back on track.
regardless of how old.. thats one hell of a video.. as an engineer I was in awe at the earth ball construction facts, inferno barge and other stuff.. plus the songs..teary there! <3Ouch. That's an old and rather embarrassing edit. I know there's one or two quotes in there that are wrong, but I assume I said that for a valid reason.
But will it have the same song or an alternate soundtrack for the night version? You guys, I'm calling it now. Wishes isn't going anywhere until the 50th. For sure. It's still drawing in crowds by the thousands every night, and when you think about it, 2021 is technically the 50th anniversary of the Magic Kingdom, so obviously they'll need some sort of spectacular to commemorate it. Replacing Wishes sooner wouldn't leave room for that. MSEP on the other hand No Way will last another five and a half years. Not necessarily in terms of guest popularity (if there's a show happening people will stop and watch it; but that's a whole other case). They'll allow it to run as long as it can hold up physically but ultimately I'm thinking Festival of Fantasy will start running at a later time to become the day/night parade. Much like they're currently doing in Paris and DCA and have done with Soundsational. You won't convince me that this wasn't the plan all along...what with how they added strobe lights to every float immediately after it opened..."dreams that glow"....
I would welcome Paint the Night of MSEP. Watched it, on youtube, for the first time the other day and I was truly embarrassed for WDW. Definitely a change is needed in the ole nighttime parade department. Wishes, I would hate to see it go but I would understand.
Wait. Paint the Night is temporary at Disneyland?
It's probably not leaving DL anytime soon especially because F! is down for awhile.
how did you get that from them saying they would prefer paint the night over msep.Wait. Paint the Night is temporary at Disneyland?

They wouldn't put all that money to plus it if it was so no the parade is not temporary. And you said it as a matter of fact but wateva.I wasn't making a statement. It was a question. Is Paint the Night temporary?

For now don't worry about paint the night coming. Besides I would want something unique for WDW should we get a new night parade in the future and it's time MSEP retire my friend.OK. That's a relief. Thank you. Still... I can't comprehend this thought. Should Paint the Night come to WDW? If it did, no more Main Street Electrical Parade. Been a classic even though it got removed from Disneyland in 1996. I really do not want to loose it from the U.S.A.

I had this idea (probably won't happen) but MSEP to move back to Disneyland and PTN moving to WDW?
No. The MSEP will finally die when it is replaced at WDW. DL can't go back to MSEP after giving its guests PTN. MSEP is a lumbering dinosaur that needs to be put out to pasture.
If this does indeed happen, it'll be exactly the sameBut will it have the same song or an alternate soundtrack for the night version?
No.Do you think Paint the Night should come to DHS or Magic Kingdom? Epcot?
I'm sorry but I do not want any version of PTN at our MK. The technological aspects of the parade are amazing, but that's about it. The music is awful (who decided a tacky pop song deserved to be blasting down Main Street?) and there is too much Pixar. I get sick of people wanting everything Disneyland has. I can't blame them I suppose, they're the favorite child with company. But still, I'd like some variance in the nighttime lineup.
