Magic Kingdom New fireworks show?

What a shame. I stopped watching or caring about wishes like a decade ago. It's so sad that the MK and WDW in general offers such old and stale entertainment. I guess switching to Disneyland has spoiled me. Paint the Night and Disneyland Forever blows anything WDW has shown in recent years out of the park. It makes sense since people still stage up to watch wishes, but they don't really know no better.

Idk why but I have a very strong feeling that WDW will be getting a new fireworks show this year. I can't believe Paris got a new show four years ago! I truly believe their will be a new fireworks show this year

Well, actually after shanghai Steve's next big project will be in Orlando. If I'm not mistaken steve mentioned a nighttime spectacular in the magic kingdom is in the works, during the 60th show interview. a few years back There is a rumored the show will be Called Dreams Come Alive spectacular and then last year in the interview it was called Paint the sky. other than magic kingdom other shows like fantasmic and RoE. are likely part of the project.

Hopefully so. Wishes was great back in 2003 up until maybe 2008 ish. It needs to retire. So does MSEP. I remember watching it back in 2010 for the summer nightastic, just to see it since I hadn't seen it in awhile. It was stale then, can't imagine how bad it is now.

It's funny how the most profitable Disney resort, gets the least updates. Look at Disneyland Paris, it's in debt and gets more updates look at their fireworks show

I hope WDW gets a new firework show and nighttime parade for the 50th anniversary.

I wonder if the rumored new fireworks show might be similar to Disneyland Forever?

Ever since Spectromagic ended for real in 2010. I'm worried to see how a future Electrical Parade at WDW might be able to top Spectro. I don't know why but while I'm getting very tired of Wishes. I always loved seeing Spectromagic and Wishes at night since it somehow felt connected to each other especially since both are hosted by Jiminy Cricket.

No. The popularity of Dreams and late sunset times in summer caused timing and crowding issues.
Maybe they could've moved it to WDSP then, which currently has neither a day or evening parade nor a nighttime show of any kind.

Incidentally, early sunset times in winter caused (daytime parade) Magic on Parade to run in the dark, and what a difference that made! So much better. Theatrical displays of any kind benefit so much from the cover of darkness and concentrated lighting.

There are some rumours that fantillusion could make its way to the Studios but no confirmation was ever given. Next year for 25th there are rumours about a new parade and upgrade of dreams. All to be done by Steve I believe but again no confirmation was given

Yes I've been hearing that as well. There was a conference last year in one of the resort hotels about the 25th. Hopefully it will happen, as the refurbs that are now starting will really make DLP look good.

when they said the Studios, They mean WDS not DHS. 2017 is the return of Fantillusion at WDS. if I'm not mistaken tobe part of 25th anniversary of DLP. and almost 90%of Fantillusion has been torn down and the new Fantillusion will be a new one or an updated version.
