Does anyone know how long the decorations will remain up on Main Street USA? I called and they said all decorations were down, yet I went to MK yesterday and Main Street was still decorated with the tree and everything. Just curious

They'll probably be down by the end of the week. I think MK is the last to get it's decorations taken down.

I read somewhere and not sure if true or this this forum but it takes them 10 days to actually get all decorations down. So I agree with above poster. Also they would have been up yesterday but you could go today & they all be down.

They take them down in stages overnight. Since Monday was the last official day of the holiday season, I'd say by the end of the week as well most everything should be gone. Even now much of the big stuff is probably already removed.

All of the decorations at the Resorts are down...and I was surprised that they were still up on Main Street. I would have to agree that they would be down by the end of the week.

anyone notice how there were less decorations this year as a whole compared to last year? especially for the extra hours christmas party thing at magic kingdom, it didn't really say christmas like the halloween parties say halloween IMO.

Studios seemed to have all its decorations still up as of today. Christmas music playing and all. Last night for Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights was on Jan 4.

Yes, many have noticed and commented. Guest Services and Communications has plenty to report on this year, particularly Epcot. :(

Yeah, the HGTV Disney special said it takes 10 days to get all of them down and hauled away to the 54,000 square foot storage facility. (Man would I love to go in there).

I have been to Disney 3x in Jan. and got to see the decorations for the holidays each time. I also got to see it not decorated(Disney elves do it magically while we sleep). It is a great time to go. Less crowds, decorations, decent weather---perfect. (Although I heard snow is on the way to FL now)

We were there the last week of January '09 and they still had a lot of the the lights up at DHS. I have a couple pics of my dh and ds sitting on the steps of one of those brownstone looking buildings in the Streets of America and you can see the strings of lights still hanging on the buildings.

Osborne lights and Castle lights take a bit longer to get down. They are not lit in the interrim however. (They are also up in October)
