I wouldn’t say there was no time. Just that they didn’t order those fireworks. They never intended to have special July 4 pyro.
Did they not have those shells for 7/4/20 delivered already by the time they closed last year though?

Also, I know a lot more goes into the special edition shows but I am surprised they are not at least putting an effort to do at least a generic perimeter fireworks finale to HEA.

Yes. We also have gotten some news on Fridays, especially the mask relaxation ones.

I thought we would get fireworks announcement last week, but I’d double-down on hearing something this week.

Mask changes are Fridays to avoid headlines. It seems to have worked this time.
Indeed. News they have to release rather than want to usually goes on a Friday. The later the time, the more the hope is it gets buried.

Thankfully for Disney, American news outlets were busy covering G7 on Friday. I haven’t actually seen much mention of the mask update anywhere. I am sure this pleases the Disney overlords. Perhaps it will get more press when they announce the same for Disneyland on Tuesday. Then again, American news runs on the East Coast schedule, so a 4 pm PDT announcement Tuesday may not get too much attention. We will see. I’m not privy to marketing decisions, but if I were in charge, I’d announce the July fireworks on Tuesday around noon and then quietly drop DL updates late in the day. Let the attention focus on fireworks.

Dare I ask this question:

Is there a chance that fireworks will no longer be every single night?

I imagine such a change would have major implications on how guests visit parks (the same way parks with EMH were always busier).

Good Point! Did not think about the July 4th Pyro form 2020 that WDW may have had when they closed March 16th 2020 "for 2 weeks"? Of couse that went into MK not reopening till July 11th. So either TDO has them, used them in tests, took them to the dump or canceled the order on March 16th. Maybe even shared them with other parks since SWO started on July 4th last year, CineCele in fall?

I agree not a word about July 4th this year in MK/Epcot will be a tiny bit strange(Are VOL even at America Gardens this year? Or not till 2022?)However No HEA/EF, F! if that's close, since March 15th 2020, Now reopening July 4th????? is nothing to complain about!!

The reason I bring it up is because I imagine it would be relatively easy for them to initiate just the finale to HEA at the perimeter sites for a single night; so long as they have the shells.

If June 15th was DL's plan, why didn't do it on Fri along with WDW? Or is that not the end date for Masks at DLR?

I should go to the Zoo on Tues, it has WIFI! LOL!!!!

HEA has done that only once in its life, for a Park Buyout. Let's hope those comeback as well. Buyouts seem to want more than Regular Day Guests Entertainment.

And the manpower. And of course the wish to draw more people than normal.

Wishes did the odd half perimeter show too.
