That's the Twitter feed from the OC Register, so they must be letting the media ride today. But the walls are still up around the ride, according to another Twitterer.

That's good to hear. Up until the most recent information was released I was expecting it to be a dud.

Brady McDonald, the tourism/entertainment industry reporter from the LA Times and someone who has for years consistently been very snarky to anything at Disneyland, just reported in with a gushing and glowing review of this new ride. I don't think I've ever seen the Los Angeles Times be this positive about anything that Disneyland has ever done. Seriously.

Lots of videos starting to pop up on Youtube today. I still think the ride looks like a ton of fun and is really clever. That said, at least from the videos I'm seeing, the faces of the people on the ride just don't seem to convey a whole lot of excitement? Will have to ride for myself. No matter what, it's still lightyears better than the previous tenant! :)

Here's one of them

I'll wait until I ride to comment on the overall experience but the ride vehicles look very charming and inviting. I think the fact there is a combination of near hit and misses, different dance moves (including signature moves depending on the car ) and paths is really cool. Some of them look like candy to me and I just want to take a bite out of the coral one. I also love the music.

I prefer the concept of the tires. Interactive and able to collide with other tires. It was the bizarre awkward execution that ruined it, but it could have been awesome. This doesn't interest me at all. I mean, I at least had to see if the tires were as bad as everyone claimed. This got a shrug out of me.

The concept of the tires may have been better but the execution of the new ride at least appears to be much better.

If anything at all they offer great eye candy and kinetic energy when walking down that back path from Bugs land to Cars land. Unlike those ugly mall/ carnival looking rides and ride vehicles in bugs land.
