I wonder how often people will start throwing up once these things start spinning.
Nothing will steal the Hurl Crown from Mickey's Fun Wheel. There's nothing like getting motion sick on a LO-O-ONG ride high up in the air. Past champ: Great America's now-extinct Sky Whirl triple ferris wheel.

I can do the non-swinging ones and I'm fine. Star Tours is probably the worst for me...which kills me because I'm such a SW nerd.

Just to add to this... I don't get motion sickness! (unless it's like, insane insane spinning, like the time after work in MK they let us ride the teacups twice in a row without getting off after MK closed... Ouch!), so can't wait to one day ride this! Looks so cute!

This looks adorable and very clever! I'd love to know how it works. Aquatopia follows the same path, with the tire tracks clearly visible below the three inches of water. But this appears to be 20 different routes all going at once, which is bizarre to consider.

This is already a huge improvement over the Flying Tires just visually and kinetics-wise. I'm sure it will be a cute thing to ride as well. Can you imagine if they re-Imagineered the Teacups with this technology?!?

This is a very Six Flags-looking attraction, it just happens to be located in Cars Land.
No. To be Six Flags-looking, it would have to be a 300 foot tall mass of unthemed steel with 15 loops geared solely at teens and young adults.

Themed flat rides should always have a place at Disney parks. DL without the Teacups, Dumbo and King Arthur Carousel would not be DL.

One of the rides I always go on in DisneySea is Scuttle's Scooters, a simple spinner in the Mermaid Lagoon area. Themed flat rides are a key thread in the tapestry of any good Disney park.

That said, this Luigi thing is unlike anything before it. The tech is really impressive to watch. Just think of the computing power it takes to have each vehicle travel one of 20 different paths and then switch to a new path on each cycle. Truly amazing to consider!

I really question why you a) go to the Parks and b) bother with a Disney message board. You really seem pretty much unhappy with everything they do. You're not really Andy Castro are you ; )

I go to the parks for attractions like The Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, "it's a small world", the Jungle Cruise and Fantasyland dark rides. But mostly The Haunted Mansion. Certainly not for the flats in DCA.

I really do wish they moved faster. Still it looks ok, and I'm impressed by the technology and the variety of moves in the choreography. They should have built this from the start instead of the Flying Tires.
