It would be cheaper to just build more costumes - but the answer to either option boils down to money. Meet n greet is now love n shove. And, most park guests dont know Goofy from Pluto, do you think most of them care if they ever meet Bernard & Bianca?That's fine, but why can't they have a schedule where Ludwick spends two months at WDW, then the cocstume gets cleaned and he spends two months at DLR and then a month off for cleaning, then 2 months at Tokyo, etc? Do this for 5-6 groups of rare characters and you have 1-2 groups of rare characters at a resort at any given time, so that anyone visiting gets the chance to see someone different.
Dont get me wrong they should do more of this, and it was a good event, but I get the feeling they did it because they had to, not because they wanted to.
