I don't think I have ever seen Ludwig Von drake before. Does anyone have a picture if and when he was in the parks.

How about a Hunchback of Notre Dame unit of Quaisimodo, Esmerelda, Captain Phoebus, and Clopin. Only concern there is would the appearence of Quaisimodo scare off children since he does have that unique look to him? But I think this could be an interesting unit. But then again this is Long Lost Friends we're dealing with here, meaning they have to be characters who appeared in the parks sometime before, so that eliminates this suggestion since (I don't know I could be wrong here but forgive me here) none of these characters have made any previous appearences in WDW parks. Again, I could be wrong here. Could even put Clopin and Esmerelda into the street party for this suggested timeframe

i know for a fact Quasi and Esmeralda are actual characters in the parks, at least in Epcot when you visit France. i've both taken a picture with them and gotten signatures.

Based solely on firsthand observation, it seemed like this was a HUGE hit! Let's hope we see one or two more Events like this as Limited Time Magic Continues!

Monday, 1/21 was my last morning in WDW, which worked out really well for my sister and I. We got to MK at park open, and by 9:10 the line was cut off for Scrooge and Ludwig. There was already a 15-minute long line at 9:30 for the 10am set as well, so we went to the Tomorrowland Terrace (open while the bakery is closed...and serving beignets!) quickly and got in line by 9:35.

We went right over to the 3 Little Pigs and Big Bad Wolf, and waited about 10 minutes for them. We were literally the second to last group before the cutoff for that set. It was really crazy. I saw a bunch of Disney tweeps (from Twitter, for those of you who aren't into social media) that morning...lots of passholders.

I also saw about a dozen or so "suits" (like middle managers looking to take credit, lol) with notepads, inspecting the crowds extremely closely.

I haven't been around here much, so I don't know what kind of reviews were out for the Canada LTM the week prior, but imho it was quite lame. I thought there would be "real" snow (like what used to be in Ice Station Cool). Instead, it was soap flakes and Chrsitmas-y looking characters...two weeks after Christmas. Don't get me wrong, the characters looked cool, but I wouldn't classify that as Limited Time Magic. Pretty disappointing.

Not to belabor the point others have made, but I also don't see why more characters can't be rotated in and out of lineups during the year. I know casting makes an impact (call-ins etc can impact who can go out on certain days), but the costumes are there, and the classic characters have designated areas now. Let's bring out the rare characters again!

Yes and no. I think 95% of the people in line were Cast Members, not their real target audience.

One would hope they continue seeing more of these characters on a permanent basis, I'm not a fan of these costumed characters but if it means slightly fewer princesses, fab five and pixar characters walking about all the time then it is a good thing...

Not every park has every character available. The rarer the character, the more chance they need to borrow from another park, the event group, or even from another resort.

At that point you get into who pays for wear n tear, etc.

Add in the union, and "bids" and the general desire to "set it and forget it" and bringing out Ludwig for the day isnt quite so easy as it sounds.

That's fine, but why can't they have a schedule where Ludwick spends two months at WDW, then the cocstume gets cleaned and he spends two months at DLR and then a month off for cleaning, then 2 months at Tokyo, etc? Do this for 5-6 groups of rare characters and you have 1-2 groups of rare characters at a resort at any given time, so that anyone visiting gets the chance to see someone different.

I seem to remember when Limited Tine Magic was announced there would be a vote for the characters we'd most like to see.... So let's hope further down the line we get to vote and there will be another meet and greet with limited time characters!
