It's like kicking a Lion in the nuts. The only thing your going to end up with is a ed off lion.

Cool. You gonna blow up some towelheads, too ('cos it works rilly well)? Fight 'em there so we don't hafta fight 'em here! Blow 'em all up and let God sort 'em out! Bring it on!!! YEEEEHAAAAWWWW!!!!!!

It was only a matter of time, my family are from London and I love the city so much.

In a way I feel we got off lightly please don't misquote me on this because it is a terrible tragedy and my heart goes out to all those injured and lost. But it could have been much much worse... not that there's anything to say there wont be more attacks :(

I know we will prevail and Terrorism will lose but how can we stop this? They lurk inbetween us as normal people and it's virtually impossible to detect... that's what I'm scared of more than anything.

I don't get it because the people who planted the bombs must live(and you often here reports of terrorists living) live here if they hate us that much get back to where you come from and stay there, and ignore us... like we'll try you!!!

sorry to let emotion get the better of me but as I'm sure you can all understand it's a harrowing day

I heard a great speech from the Mayor of London (Ron Livingston?). He said that no matter what the terrorists do, London, and the rest of the UK, will live in freedom and prosper (paraphrasing). I haven't agreed with him on past issues, but he's right on about today. It was also odd that Rudy Guiliani happened to be in London today. London was lucky to have two strong mayors present. My thoughts are with all of you in London and the rest of the UK.

Funny, we just celebrated July 4th here, yet we once again find ourselves standing shoulder to shoulder with our cousins.
You are in our thoughts. These cowards can never defeat the greatness of our two nations.

FROM THE BBC. STATEMENT CLAIMING RESPONSIBILITY.

Britain is now burning with fear, terror and panic in its northern, southern, eastern, and western quarters.

Pfffft, please. I remember when it happened here... I wasn't thinking "Gosh, I'm so scared I may never leave my house again!" I was thinking "Mother ****ers!"

Still am today.

The G8 was held about 20 minutes from here last year, and something like this was in the back of our minds the whole time.

The Brits have survived plenty worse, and I know this will be no exception. :(

That's what I was thinking, too. These people seem to think they inspire terror in the general populace, and it's really anything but.

Exactly!! Count me in as well.

Furthermore these types of incidents is what triggers such hatred in normal, everyday people. Anyone remember the email the went around right after the war started? It was about turning Iraq into a parking lot?

My thoughts & prayers go out to all involved in today's tradegies.

I actually came in here to start this thread, but see all the kind hearts on this board have beat me! I just wanted to send all of our thoughts and prayers to everyone in London -- everyone keep their chins up! Don't give those terrorists what they want-- our fear and sadness. Speediest recovery to all of those injured!

Little FYI - it's Ken not Ron and I heartily agree with your post.

It's great to read people from all the different countries on here banding together to show their support - really proves that terrorist bombings have the reverse affect intended!

Funny how these things are having the exact opposite effect that they wanted. Guess they aren't as wise as they like to believe themselves to be.

Couldn't agree any more. If there's one thing that happens during these times, it's the bonds that everyone gets with each other. It will only make us stronger and the terrorists will find out the hard way.

I just posted something that came to my mind in another thread and thought I'd pop it in here too.

The United Kingdom is more united today than it was yesterday.

Ken Livingston is a low life who is happy to support murdering republicans when it suits. A terrorist is a terrorist. His support for the Provos has bit him in the today.

And as for that traitor Galloway, whos happy to defame the country and support every terror group this side of the Darth vader, Id gladly give him a personal counciling session.

The buses are running again, though with some detours around the incident scenes. Much of the tube network is up and running, again with some exceptions.

London is reported as being more quiet than normal, but then the authorities have said that if you don't need to go to work today then stay at home.

Last night I met up with a nurse friend of mine from a Bristol children's ward (we are about 150 miles away from London) they spent yesterday releasing as many patients as possible and are on standby just in case. Shows the extent to how far the emergency measures have be thought. Again, I have to say that the services have done sterling work.

Hi everyone, thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers for us here in the UK. You are all right, we will never let them win EVER. Only makes us more determined to carry on, the resolve of the British stiff upper lip and that life must and will go on is never more true than today. And we will still host the Olympics and they will be flipping brilliant!
