"Ke Huy Quan is joining Loki.

The Goonies and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom star, who made his acting comeback in Everything Everywhere All At Once, has been cast in the second season of the Marvel drama series.

The casting was announced by Marvel boss Kevin Feige, but he didn’t disclose character details."

He's also starring in the D+ series American Born Chinese based on the graphic novel of the same name, which looks very similar to Everything Everywhere All At Once.

And the slowdown of releases begin...

Loki was originally sometime in the Spring of 2023.

Also, other MCU TV that was supposed to be in 2023: X-Men '97; Agatha Coven of Chaos; and, Ironheart.
Let me count the reasons why I'm really annoyed I re-subscribed for this year's Marvel content that didn't actually happen...

Just glad I'll get to finish Loki before I say bye-bye to my subscription (barring some stupidly cheap deal for the holidays).

Feels like the trailer didn't give away much while showing off a lot of action/effects. I'm in a very small minority who didn't really like the first season, but I have to imagine if you did this has you hyped.

Really? I get the impression the majority of people have been pretty meh on all the MCU shows. Even the ones they preferred. I watched the first Loki, don't really remember it. It was ok but did dumb annoying stuff and suffered from the bad writing the is inflicting most things these days. That said, trailer makes me think I'll check out the new season.

*All* the MCU shows?

Definitely, one. Maybe two. But in general critics' and audience reaction is very positive...

Agreed. The shows released during the height of pandemic restrictions (WandaVision, FatWS, and Loki to an extent) I think are all still very highly regarded. What If... and after I think is when the audience reception for shows became spottier and people start to diverge (I personally only liked + followed Hawkeye and Moon Knight from that point onwards).

I'm still personally really hyped for Loki S2 and Agatha: Coven of Chaos as far as MCU shows go.

That trailer was great! Season 2 looks SO much better than season 1!

But. That. Poster.

Is AI doing their posters for them too after the Secret Invasion credits?! Ugh is that some CREEPY computer art! I thought the first teaser poster with Miss Minutes made me unenthused, but this thing is uncanny-valley-horrific!

Ms Marvel is pretty widely (and correctly) considered the best of the D+ shows. The two specials were also excellent and very well received.

Yeah, it was really good. It's not my personal favorite, but it was done well. Personally, Moon Knight is above it. I think WandaVision would be as well if the ending didn't feel so rushed (I understand why it was). But Loki is a ways down my list. Not as far down as like Hawkeye and SheHulk, but I just found myself bored in it at times.

I pretty much loved both WandaVision and Loki (and the GOTG Holiday Special). Unfortunately it felt to me that MCU D+ shows peaked early in general. I’m hoping Loki season 2 reverses that trend and I did enjoy the trailer.

I have zero hope for Echo. I would be shocked if it’s not bad.

Gotta disagree. Maybe critically based on the first couple episodes but it had some of the worst ratings of any D+ shows as well as little buzz compared to other series.
