Now I am not sure what to think.

Yesterday in EPCOT, I did ask about LoW & was told it would happen this year.

However, I asked a CM, and we all know how that ranks with... :lookaroun

WAIT!!! I remember on Friday night at our preshift they mentioned that Woodpecker Lane will be closed this week due to the Children's Miracle Network gulf event or something in the Wonders parking lot. THAT's probably why they aren't out there.
Yes, yesterday we were sent to the Wonders parking lot among other cars.

I remember a sign for courtesy car pick up for the CMN Master's.

Just for reference. In 2007 the lights were in the parking lot ready for install on 15 Oct.

I remember that...and it was a little later last year, too, right?

Hmm. Seems like there's a ton of factors, that, FAWF, painting....but why are they not on the guides?!

They seemed to really focus on Christmas merch yesterday as well. One Plaza shops in WS was stocked with all Xmas merch, down to the WS Holiday wallpapering. :dazzle:

I just pulled up the Holidays Around the World Festival Guide on The Hub. There's absolutely no mention or imagery of the Lights of Winter.

Probably unrelated to the Lights, but also of note is that there is new entertainment in the form of a gospel/jazz group that will be performing on the Fountain of Nations stage.

I just looked as well. The gospel group is new and is unrelated to the Lights since they will be performing during the day.

I think it's becomming pretty clear that the decision had been made to not show the lights this year. The question now, is whether that has recently been changed, and there are indeed going to show them.

What chance is it that it would be the Harlem Gospel Choir that sang in DHS previously?

LoW disappointment

When I was on the CP last year, the LoW gave me the most memorable WDW memory I've ever had. It absolutely breaks my heart that these may not be going on this year.
