Not on Tron and GotG. They are VQ only.
Both of which are fairly easy to get.

The 1pm drop for GotG was open until 8pm one day recently, often still open at 4-5pm. Tron has also been pretty easy to get at 1pm and was open until 4pm the other day.

So better than stand-by, in that at least your time actually waiting in line is limited.

They are somewhat easy to get if you have an idea of what you need to do to get them.

Not everyone thinks "hey, I paid for a park ticket to ride everything, but oops! Those rides aren't included and I need to either pay MORE or do something every single day to possibly try and get to ride them."

I'm afraid that all the collective whining about wanting Fastpass to come back is going to bring us back to the worst possible scenario. It's FP+, with tiers, except now you pay a lot of money and have less flexibility. Except they got rid of the best part about Fastpass, which was the easily understood product name.

It isn’t clear whether you’d be able to book further top tier rides after using your first 3.

But yes, this would be paid-for FP+

Only 1 pre-purchased LL though, again not clear if you could book another one on the day / after using the pre-booked one.

genie is going nowhere.. so may as well be able to book everything ahead of time and not have to worry about doing it at 7am and playing the game of whats it going to cost today charade.... simply should have done this from the beginning.. they really were worried about a PR backlash? so they changed the name and made it worse... Should have just charged for FP and moved on with it...

Definitely feels a lot like paid FP+ especially with the preselection and 3 upfront

See it gives a benefit to being onsite vs current G+, and like old FP+

Interesting that it definitely reads like you get 1 tier A and then that is it. 2 other preselection and addition day of are only Tier B

Notice they have viewing area for the parade as a Tier B (do they have that for G+ now?)

If they limit people to only 1 Tier A that would be awful … unless the plan is to offer 2 separate paid versions. One that allows you to book multiple tier A’s and one that doesnt…

Easy yes, but still limited. Without a standby queue, the only way to re-ride is to pay.

Waiting until 1pm for the next VQ drop isn't ideal either (if you miss the 1st one). On one visit, my last day I could only stay in Epcot until noon, and that was pushing it.

Other days, we had plans to be somewhere other than Epcot in the afternoon/evening. Plans like hopping and/or a TS meal in another part of WDW.

If there had been stand by we could have gotten in line.

They find new and interesting ways to make the product suck worse but cost more. I wonder if people will love FP+ as much when they have to pay $29 pp/pd for it.
