Didn’t they just take out the former tier 1 rides to sell them separately - then make tier 1 of Genie+ the best rides from the former tier 2? It’s not as good as the old free FP+ but it should limit people more than that system.

Definitely feels a lot like paid FP+ especially with the preselection and 3 upfront

See it gives a benefit to being onsite vs current G+, and like old FP+

Interesting that it definitely reads like you get 1 tier A and then that is it. 2 other preselection and addition day of are only Tier B

Notice they have viewing area for the parade as a Tier B (do they have that for G+ now?)
Imagine spending all this money on unworkable IT systems to they don’t have to build more attractions

Unfortunately for me (someone who travels to Orlando 2 or 3 rimes a year from the UK and buys a 2 week Disney pass each time) - These last changes in cost in G+ and especially the fact you pay even more for Park hopping for G+ (something we ALWAYS do each day) it has been the final straw for us. We have decided that our 16 Night trip in September will be the last for us.

It's been coming a while, we starting coming in 2018 and the whole experience has just got worse and worse..become harder work and become much much more expensive- unjustifiably so.

I resented paying $15 a person for G+ (which you could park hop with)...now knowing in September I'm probably going to have to pay $27 each per day to do the same thing......Disney have just took the mick for too long now and the whole experience is becoming less and less fun.

Such a shame as we used to absolutely love our time in Orlando, but we just can't justify paying more and more money for less and less of an experience.

Seriously try not using Genie, I doubt you need it.

I may try not using it the first few days...but I guess we have always been used to FP+ and G+ so will ve hard for us to use standby queues all day....so will most likely end up stumping up the extra cash each day for G+ hopper . Mainly because this next Orlando holiday will be our last.

Rope Drop, get the big rides done, do shows/less popular rides, do big rides again at night. Seriously outside of MK and DHS you won’t need to wait in any line >30 min, and at the other two you only need to do it once or maybe twice.

Trust me, much to the annoyance of my wife, we get get to the gate 30 minutes before the 30 minute early resort guests window.

The 30 minute early opening and rope dropping does make a big difference for sure...but by the time you get to 1 or 2pm you're just in it with the rest.

I mean...im normally done at AK by 11.30/midday, completing the whole park. And that is all down to Rope dropping FoP - walking on Navi, strutting down to Safari...doing a couple of EE before polishing off the shows and our comedy go on Dinosaur before a midday lunch at Y&Y and getting to the next park for 2pm.

With much much trial and error I've managed to find the best way to max out each and every visit to all the parks, But with the best will in the world, it would be impossible to get anywhere near what we achieve without G+....although AK would be the easiest park to do without G+

Epcot: Frozen, TT SRL, Soarin, Rat, then do the best parts of Epcot
DHS: Rise, Slinky if line is entirely in queue, Mickey, ToT repeat until line is 30 min, RnRC SRL, have a long wait for TSMM later that morning.
MK: SDMT, Pan, BTMRR x2, PotC, HM. Do space mid morning it’s usually far shorter then stated, and is air conditioned. JC is a once a trip ride for me and usually done after the fireworks on Wed prior to Deluxe EMH.

Getting to a park early is generally one of the best strategies for any park, Disney or otherwise

I will say our upcoming trip we are trying to go at a more relaxed pace and not planning to rope drop every day. The days we don't we likely will buy G+ and stack a bit for later in the day when we get to the park. So sort of paying extra to be able to sleep in on vacation
