There were differences between the Fantasy and Dream so I expect a number of things. For example, I imagine at least one restaurant experience will be different. And probably some sort of adjustment to the pool options. And the flex space unlikely to include the incredibles thing but rather something different.

Will the layout change? Not likely. Will the adult area be significantly up-sized? Not likely. Will there be more regular retail and fewer bars? Not likely. Will things feel less narrow? Not likely.

IMHO, there are design-level flaws on these new ships and there's no way the Treasure fixes all the wrongs I and others have with the Wish.

You know what's funny?

Eh, a few changes can go a long way to enhancing the experience.

Good. Also, how you going to ask for this and then ask for increasing the adult space at the same time? :hilarious: And they were able to expand the usable adjust space between the Dream and Fantasy (originally, until the Dream got some updates).

I don’t see any reason why spaces couldn’t be reconfigured, even dramatically , once the wish feedback was received. Take down a wall here and there , move a hallway , repurpose different spaces , the treasure isn’t that far along so there is opportunity there. The promenade deck may be an exception

One more - I hate the wish atrium mainly from an aesthetic point of view - too princess like and the multi story curtains are tacky for an otherwise beautiful space - this is all easily changed

I thought it was gorgeous at Christmas. All of the gold decor was different from what is offered elsewhere and truly regal.

The gingerbread “house” was oddly phoned in. Not sure what happened there.

There will be a DVC-exclusive sailing of the Magic in June. 5 nights, with stops at Lighthouse Point, Castaway Cay, and then  another stop at Lighthouse Point. They're classifying this as a Concierge Collection trip rather than a DVC Member Cruise, so none of the usual gifts or entertainment that members usually get on a Member Cruise.
Two questions about this sailing. 1--can a DVC member who bought direct use cash for the cruise or must a portion of the cruise be paid with points? 2--can a DVC member who bought direct use points from a resale contract? There was a similar DVC exclusive cruise on the Wish last year but I don't remember the booking details.

They haven't announced any booking details yet other than the dates, June 14-19. I would think that they wouldn't care about direct vs. resale for a cruise (except maybe Riviera resale?), but that's just a guess on my part.

Disney has shared new photos of Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Nestled along the sand dunes of Serenity Bay, the vibrantly colored architecture of the Serenity Bay Cabanas matches the Mabrika Cove Cabanas, which sit across Disney Lookout Cay at the arrival point of the destination.

The island vibes and flavors are calling your name because Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is almost ready to welcome guests! When this new, vibrant island destination for Disney Cruise Line opens on June 6, you’ll be met with the delicious flavors of The Bahamas, along with other guest favorites and some menu items inspired by Bahamian recipes. And we’ve got your first look at them, including some sips you’ll definitely want to try.
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is being built with and will be serviced with sustainable practices in mind. Disney Cruise Line is committed to sending zero waste to landfill, and one way we’re reducing waste is through the use of all reusable service ware – including stainless steel cups – at the island destination’s food and beverage locations.
Let’s kick things off with the food. You may be wondering, where can I eat at Disney Lookout Cay? I’ve got you covered. Guest favorites such as Grilled BBQ Ribs, Island Spiced Rotisserie Chicken, freshly Grilled Cheeseburgers, a wide selection of sides and freshly prepared salads, and even some Bahamian inspired dishes will be served up at True-True BBQ and True-True Too BBQ, while Serenity Bay BBQ will serve adults exclusively.

These spots at this new tropical destination will feature Bahamian-inspired drinks along with classic cocktails, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages, with select sips including locally sourced products for an authentic beverage experience. For those looking for the Disney Lookout Cay signature cocktail, the Eleuthera Euphoria will be made with rum, pineapple smoothie mix, and DOLE Whip. Some of the can’t-miss items include:

Nothing particularly interesting shown there. I’ll definitely try the chicken, hopefully the ribs are decent. And get that garbage off the burgers. 😉

The stainless steel cups will be interesting to experience. I wonder how many will be collected when people re-board the ship? 😂

Lookout Cay map was released today. It’s an interesting setup. The ship docks by cabanas and not much else, so it’s a tram ride or a pretty long (it seems) walk to all of the facilities most people want. Not a big tram person so I’ll be curious to see how long that walk is.

I'm looking forward to Lightouse point more now... Castaway has always seemed a bit overrated to me (I first visited 2019 or so) and whilst the principles seems quite copy and paste I think I am going to like the 'authentic' design more than Castaway and also it seems like there are more activities to do (the cultural centre etc.) than their is on Castaway. I do wonder how long this will all last but hopefully it is part of the deal with the island that they have to have some level of cultural exchange.

I've always got the tram to the adult area of Castaway so having to get one doesn't bother me. Never really had to wait or don't mind walking if necessary.

I think the only miss is the lack of the adventure course/area that was on the original plans. I thought that would have been another thing to differentiate from Castaway and also appeal to me. I would say it could happen as a Phase 2 but we know those never happen.
