It seems that the industry is heading towards Perfect Day at Castaway Cay.

I wonder if Disney would justify a second cruise berth with an island expansion (free heated pools, ?free lazy river, paid waterpark).

It’s a bit antithetical to what Lighthouse is trying to achieve, but Castaway Cay might be well serviced with a modernization.

It is also antithetical with Castaway Cay. It is supposed to be a deserted island, or an island founded by a bunch of castaways who washed up there after a storm.

Indeed, though they are too small to do a third island and frankly are too small to have a second. So I give them props on being ahead of the curve.

The writing does appear to be on the wall with the one caveat that their next fleet doesn’t seem very Caribbean focused. Two of those are inevitable Alaska Vancouver replacements.
