Liberty Tree Tavern Character Dinner

Hey all. I know this is kind of a johnny come lately post. But - I happen to be talking to someone where I work. She had told me that the Liberty Tree Tavern Character Dinner was discontinued because people were complaining about the annoyance of the characters interfering with there meal. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

Haven't heard that theory, and the lack of characters at LTT is actually a sore spot around here! Many people miss the characters. Though I could be wrong, I think they were cut due to budget/staffing cutbacks. :shrug: :wave:

That's a twist on the story.

IMHO I think they discontinued the characters because they could increase the through put volume if people did not linger at the tables waiting for all the characters.
They also probably felt that they could fill the restaurant anyway, without the characters.

We have not been back since the characters went away.
The food alone is not worth the price.

Agreed i dont usually like family style but its great here. The one thing besides a new major E ticket MK is missing is another goo TS dining option.

It's kind of weird, because this girl said she heard it from a cm who was working the night she was there for dinner.

I believe the answer to your question is yes the charaters are gone @ LTT. I just did a search on the Disney site and it is no longer listed at Character dining.

When we last went to LTT it was a night of MNSSHP they had Minnie, Pluto, Chip 'n' Dale and goofy. It was great, we were last in the restuarant that night and when the place began to clear we were still eating so Chip 'n' Dale and pluto came over and played with the kids. They were dressed up in their halloween costumes and were playing dead and had the kids trying to bring them back to life :lol:. It was such a magical experience and will miss it this year as we have booked LTT again for the night of MNSSHP.
