Let Them Eat CAKE!!! Trip Report

****Looks like none of the pictures are showing after the site changeover- you can view the pics on here if you'd like. http://www.flickr.com/photos/houcusechickie/sets/72157630140601410/

I posted the PTR a while back... http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=762372 and now it's time for the trip report!!!

As you probably guessed from the title- there's going to be a bit of cake in this TR. The first cake actually happens before we even left town for WDW. As promised, I made Kendall (DD4 at the time) a Toy Story themed Barbie Dreamvette. I was under a lot of stress- final trip details, getting ready for Kindergarten, family staying with us for 4 days before the trip, work issues, everything with this cake, and a car accident in the middle of it all. The gumpaste Mr. Potatohead and Alien turned out really well... even if I had to replace the 5 with a hat due to a potato mishap...

[/IMG]
6023942738_4c28f88df4.jpg
[/IMG]

...but the cake looked more like a lumpy version of Lightning McQueen meets a Trans Am or Firebird.
6033438305_783d3e5723.jpg
[/IMG]

The worst part- I was already upset about the cake, but in the 5 hours I was away from the house- the weight of the Alien took out the far side of the car, the seams at the door and detail lines started to split, and potato fell and lost his 5. I made some last minute attempts to fix it airbrushed it a bit in hopes that people wouldn't notice all of the issues and said “who cares, I'm leaving for Disney tomorrow!”

6033442735_13766f6b2b.jpg
[/IMG] (still drives me nuts that after 3 fixes that stupid back tire still kept going flat!!!) All in all- I hated the cake and was so happy to come home and trash it! I haven't hated a cake this much in a long time.

So, now it's the evening before we take off for WDW and the vehicle situation is still up in the air. I hadn't heard back from the collision center by 7pm, so I figured my Jeep wouldn't be ready. So, we started prepping DH's car and I put in a stroller rental request through Magic Strollers. Around 9:20pm I get a call from the service rep handling my vehicle informing me that the Jeep should be ready by 8:30am the next morning. It did end up being ready the next morning, but by this point plans were in full swing for using DH's car plus he gets better gas mileage, so I picked up the Jeep- loaded up DH's car (after he took our dog to “Doggy Camp” and got an oil change)...AND WE WERE OFF TO DISNEY!!!

Sammie (DD2) was all happy, but Kendall wanted nothing to do with pictures!

We didn't leave until about 9:30am, but that worked out well since we hit downtown Houston with very little traffic.

[/IMG]

It wasn't long after that where we got on I-10 and headed east.

We hit Beaumont and started to get excited because that meant it wouldn't be long before we were out of Texas and in Louisiana.

THE CAKE IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO PRETTY!! ITS PERFECT! HOW EXCITED KENDALL IS!!!! SUCH A SPECIAL MOMENT! GOOD JOB MOM!:sohappy:

Thanks!!! They did such a great job on it and Kendall was clearly over the moon with the whole experience. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

I love the birthday outfits! Soooo adorable!

And OMG! The cake! It turned out so awesome! How was the taste? Y'all didn't cut it at breakfast? I can't wait to hear about the taste. That was the most disappointing part of Brian's cake last November. I'm thinking I'll be ordering a small-ish cake for our anniversary dinner at the Yacht Club. I need to place the order towards the end of this week. I'm still not 100% settled on design. I'm so torn!

Good luck with the school tomorrow. I'll be sending positive vibes your way that all goes well and the outcome is a good one.

The girls loved the clothes as well!

I can't begin to describe how happy I was with the cake...and yes, it tasted very good. :slurp: The fondant tasted more like a buttercream fondant (vs a marshmallow or white chocolate based product). It wasn't as sweet as a marshmallow fondant nor did it have the taffy like taste of a brand like Satin Ice, but it was still sweet- nice texture after setting- and tasted very good (I know some people peel fondant away after tasting bad stuff - like the kind made by Wilton). The "buttercream" frosting they used to crumb coat/dirty ice the cake was likely shortening based (since I've heard they don't use eggs or butter in theirs due to spoilage issues), but it reminded me of the stuff Kroger uses to frost their cakes...so super sweet. The passion fruit mousse filling was something I could eat all on its own. It tasted just like passion fruit juice...but in a nice whipped mousse form. The red velvet cake was very good as well. It was moist and not too light-not too dense...most of all, you could taste the cocoa- even when taking a bit with the mousse. I believe they used royal icing on the frames- which was also YUM!!! The flowers and leaves were made of gumpaste, while never tastes great.

Not sure what direction you're thinking of going with designs, but you might try searching on Flickr. I never see the exact cake I want, but I get a lot of ideas on there- both what I want and what I don't want. Plus, if you can come up with a few rough ideas...you might be able to share them with the chef and they can combine it into one cohesive cake theme.

Thanks! The school stuff is a mess, but we should be out of the woods by this time next week.

Okay, wow...the cake and the outfits are fabulous! It's clear that you went through a ton of effort to make Kendall's birthday special...high five! :sohappy:

And by the way...you love cake and cheese? I think we would get along famously :D

Thanks! It was a lot of work, but it's work no matter where we do the bday celebration + it's fun work and done out of love.

You'll be shocked to see that I didn't order the cheese at Cali Grill.

The cake is BEAUTIFUL!!! BatB is one of my FAVS, too!! Glad Kendall loved it!!

And how cute are their birthday outfits?!? :)

Thanks! They really did such an awesome job. :D THe outfits were a lot of fun... I really like Sammie's Minnie dress...especially since Kendall could wear it with leggings.

love love love the outfits and cake. My baby girl had her 5th birthday at Chef Mickeys..she still takes about it and she is 11..lol.. I can't wait to read more.

I definitely think this is a bday she'll remember. How sweet that your daughter also had her 5th bday there! It was a great bday spot! Thanks for reading!

Happy Birthday to Kendall!! The outfits and cake were Beautiful! Makes me want to do something extra special for my baby's 21st bday next year when we are there.

Kendall says thank you!!! I will say that when Disney does bdays- they really know how to do it right! So, I say go for it! Thanks for reading!!!

Minnie came back after this for pics with both girls. She was such a great Minnie- both girls were simply in love with her.

I settled the bill while DH trekked back to the room with the cake. I snapped some pics while we waited...

..and then it was off to Epcot for rope drop.

6062335101_7619827774.jpg
[/IMG]

It was also about this time that I realized that I forgot both pairs of sunglasses back in the room. Bday amnesia win #2! The monorail ride over was funny...a woman sat with me and the girls and admired the bday outfits, but what really cracked her up was how Kendall says Epcot...it's EpiCot...and Sammie proved how she was learning from her sister by saying it the same way. We discussed times of year to go and how fall and MNSSHP is worth the trip, even if it's a short one...and then we bid farewell to our new friend and were off to get ready to enter the park.

6062335595_c416caf976.jpg
[/IMG]

It took me some time to get through bag check b/c there was a HUGE crowd before rope drop. By the time I got to DH and the girls we had some super cranky kiddos. A CM off to the side of the gate area came back talking to DH like they'd met before...I guess she didn't want any unhappy kids going into Epcot...so she brought them stickers and buttons. Sure, they were first visit buttons and this wasn't a first visit, but I'll take buttons that lie any day to bring some peace.

I made the run to Soarin' for fastpasses while DH lagged behind with the girls. My parents took care of this for us last trip...so this was also a first for me. It actually felt a bit more chaotic than the TSMM run, but it was fun going past the waving Sunshine Seasons staff.

I don't know why I bothered trying to take pics in the first part of the ride, but here's what I got- some with some tweaking...

Sammie was too funny when we got to the sunflowers. She loves eating "flower seeds" and she was ready to jump ship to search this area for a little snack...

I haven't been on this since the original ride was in place. I knew it had been changed and while I didn't hate it, I also didn't love it. Of course the girls adored it. Now I have to make good on finding my big plush Figment – not sure if it's circa 1985 or 1988, but they want him.

As a kid (and even young adult), I think it was everything after the ride that really used to make this fun. I truly miss the rainbow tunnel (not sure of its proper name) afterwards, but the girls still enjoyed playing.

(you can also see Kendall is back in her silver sandals here- turns out her bday shoes are not ready to be worn without socks- this would become a BIG problem)

6062928782_25643e6919.jpg
[/IMG]

We went outside to play in the jumping water when the unthinkable happened...my camera wouldn't snap any pictures. I played around with it, but still nothing...then I realized...I forgot to charge the battery the night before. :brick: Bday amnesia win #3! DH suggested that we go buy batteries, but it took him a minute to realize that I needed to recharge the one inside the camera. He suggested buying a disposable or a cheap one in a store, but I just decided to put the camera away and try and forget about pictures for awhile. Besides, I don't think I could be limited to 24 shots on a film disposable.

We still had time, so we went over to Nemo. I don't love the ride, but I do love those seagulls (MINE) and I like the ride soundtrack...so it was all good. We got out just as they were letting people in for Turtle Talk...so we went that way to see Crush. The problem...neither girl wanted to sit up front. I guess it worked out well since there was no space up front, but we could have squeezed them in somewhere- they're tiny! We were towards the back and we couldn't see well. Kendall had nobody behind her so she stood, but for Sammie- it was my lap or nothing. She started screaming, and I didn't want to disrupt the show, so we left the theater and told DH we'd meet him after.

I took Sams over to the little play area with Bruce's shark head. It took us several minutes to get through the line, but I finally got baby girl in the shark's mouth. Most of the trip she'd tell me to stop taking pictures...but this, yes this is where she threw a fit b/c I wasn't busting out the camera and snapping away. I tried to fake it, then I tried to explain that it was broken but she was just furious. DH came out with Kendall shortly after and while they both enjoyed the show- Kendall decided to meltdown like Sammie. We went over to the manatee tank hoping this might pull them out of it, but no dice. Too bad, b/c I love manatees! So, I dragged them in the bathroom – nobody was cooperating, so I had what I like to call – a silent scream moment. They calmed down and promised to stop being so crazy insane and it turns out they were hungry (gee, that's what happens when you watch Mickey go around the room and not eat your breakfast). It was fastpass time, so we decided to head over to The Land and figured we'd grab some snacks at Sunshine Seasons before riding. It hit us at this point that the girls skipping breakfast in favor of characters was likely to blame for the nasty moods...if only they'd had cake!!!

Everyone was doing much better after some fruit and drinks, but the best part...one of the Sunshine Seasons Cms saw Kendall's bday button (I took mine off for the day since it was her actual bday) and told us to stay put- that she'd be right back with some friends. We waited a few minutes and next thing you know, a group of ladies comes to our table with tambourines and sing to Kendall for her bday. The day was a blur, but DH also insists they brought her a cupcake with a candle...it's that bday amnesia again!

Kendall and I headed off to Soarin' while DH stayed behind with Sammie. Sammie was not happy, but there was not much I could do. We made it pretty far up in the fast pass line, but there was still a bit of a wait. At first there was a mom with her two boys ahead of us. They loved the magnetic latches on the chain and we had fun comparing the pros and cons of having girls vs boys. It was also interesting talking to her b/c they were from California. I had mentioned really wanting to get the girls out to Disneyland, but she was saying they go at least once a year and they prefer WDW. She even went as far as saying that she and I guess her friends all feel that WDW gets all the attention, refurbs and new rides over DL. She did agree that things like Pirates and Small World are better at DL, but it's just so funny how different people's perspectives and opinions are on these things. They got bumped up in line b/c they needed a party of 3 so I chatted with the next family in front of us about the great military discounts.

Kendall was getting frustrated with the wait, but it was eventually our turn. She seemed to enjoy the ride and had fun picking up her feet. I didn't think she loved it, but by the evening she'd be begging to ride it again.

On our way out of Soarin' Kendall told me her feet were hurting her so it was first aid time when we got back to the back pack. He even put a little bandaid on there for her...we'd later find out it needed to be a big band aid- a really big band aid. We had one other issue- Sammie was asleep...on a chair. She was on her feet, bent over, just resting on the chair.

6062363125_9cd7f13209.jpg
[/IMG]
(an earlier picture of her by the chairs she'd soon call a bed)

At least she remained sleeping while we carried her to the stroller and strapped her in.

We passed Chip & Dale on our way out...another trip where we won't be meeting the munks. Too bad since I could have at least gotten photopass pics during my camera-less portion of the day. We decided to grab some fastpasses for TestTrack and then head into the World Showcase. Last trip Kendall had issues and was punished for bad behavior by not being allowed to ride Maelstrom. With Sammie asleep and very little wait, we decided this was the perfect time. DH and Kendall rode while I venutred over to China. Myself and a sleeping Sammie waved to Mulan:wave:, wandered a bit and headed back. It was almost time for lunch at Le Cellier, so we needed them to finish up.

We rolled on over to Canada and unloaded Sammie from the stroller. Considering she wouldn't nap at all in the stroller last trip- this was GOLD! She was also in a good mood again when we got her up. It was about 12:35pm and we had a 12:45pm ressie. There were a few families waiting to be seated and a walk up in front of us. Surprisingly, the walk up was seated instantly...maybe it was b/c part of their systems were down. We only waited a couple of minutes and then were shown to our table. We had a very nice server from Nova Scotia.

I know many people complain that it's too dark and cramped in there, but we didn't find either to be the case...we've been to plenty of restaurants with that lighting level and the table spacing wasn't an better or worse than some of the other Disney restaurants we've dined at in our trips to the World. We all started with the cheddar cheese soup and while I was skeptical, I was pleasantly surprised. It was also perfect for dipping our pretzel bread. Our server offered us more bread, but with an appetizer, entree and dessert- what they initially brought us was just fine...probably more than enough.

Kendall had a hot dog, Sammie got a pizza (one of the few times we had to pay out of pocket for her), DH got the strip with mashed potatoes, and I got the filet with the risotto. Sammie 'ate the whole thing' so that was $ well spent, and Kendall ate the hot dog sans bun + they shared the fries. DH raved about about the strip- saying it really hit the spot and he loved the potatoes. I was let down a bit with the filet. I think it was all of the Le Cellier filet hype that did it to me. First off, the filet was good, but it wasn't melt in my mouth good...and if this is the same steak they serve when they switch to signature for dinner, it's certainly not worth the prices or two credits. DH agreed with that statement. i.e. his strip was excellent for 1 credit and the best steak he's had for 1 credit, but it's no signature meal. I did really like the risotto...which worried me since reviews are mixed on that.

For dessert, they had ice cream for Kendall and decorated with rim of the bowl with chocolate swirls and mickeys (hardened after freezing). She actually liked the chocolate better than the ice cream- imagine that! DH got the s'more and shared them with Sammie...they both really enjoyed it and I finished up with the maple crème brulee – which was YUM! :slurp:

We thought about stopping by Universe of Energy on the way out, but the girls were getting pretty stir crazy and we needed to be back in the park for a 6:40pm at Akershus (it was already close to 2)...so we left...hoping to make it in early enough to see some dinos. We got back to the room and I immediately ran to my charger and cord bag and got the camera battery into the charger...then it was off to bed for the girls. At least Sammie would be getting a double nap today. Too bad bday amnesia would strike again and we wouldn't realize it until we were back at the room...I'd left my refillable mug at Le Cellier! :hammer: We still had 2 left, but total bummer.

Love your girls outfits!! Especially that lovely pink skirt for Kendall!
Can't wait to read the rest!

She loved the outfit- the skirt was her favorite color (she likes to call it "dark pink"). I swear- sometimes I plan trips just so I can buy fun things for the girls. :lookaroun Thanks for reading!!!

The girls weren't too keen on waking up, but last trip taught us that while naps and rest time are vital, napping too long can also hurt things. So, we got the girls up, spruced up a bit and back into the stroller.

We'd later find out there were some indirect lightning strikes on people at Sea World from these storms...makes you realize how important it is to get off of those pool decks when these t-storms roll through. Either way- we were off and on our way back to Epcot!

6062503595_258f3b5d43.jpg
[/IMG]
(it's VERY faint)

Sammie made a friend during this monorail trip...discussing everything from the tooth fairy and her current loose teeth to guessing Sams' and K's ages. I also talked with a family staying at the GF who didn't find out until they arrived that the monorails were no longer operating during EMH...nobody was happy. Speaking of EMH- there was quite a crowd coming into Epcot for EMH, but we made our way in and headed to Universe of Energy.

6062391025_d98ec08dd7.jpg
[/IMG]

There was plenty of room in there, but the show wasn't set to start for another 10 minutes, it's a 45 min show, and we had to make it to dinner...so we walked out...and with the last show being at 7pm, we'd be missing this one again this trip. I've heard some people bash the attraction, but there is enough left over from its original state to remind me of that first trip to Disney when Epcot was EPCOT and felt so new and revolutionary in the eyes of a child. Plus, this one has some significance for DH and I as well. Back when Exxon, his dad got us into the VIP lounge. Nothing special, yet it still felt very special...especially since it was our first trip to WDW together.

Oh well- no time to waste lamenting over rides not ridden...on to Mexico! :sohappy:- I figured both kids would like this one.

The line was starting to extend outside the main line area and snake in odd ways so they were trying to organize it as we approached. I feared the line may be too long for the time we had, but the Cms told me it was only about 10 minutes, so we waited...

...and I'm glad we did. Sammie told me about halfway through that she loved this ride. DH won't admit it, but he giggled most of the way through. Donald was my fave as a kid and I haven't ridden this in some time, so it made me happy as well...in fact, sooooo happy that I couldn't stop taking pics (or maybe I was just happy to have my camera back- can you tell???).

The girls still didn't know where we were having dinner, but as soon as I got into the line to check in, I caught the girls discussing how yellow dress Belle was in there last time. I think they figured it out!

6062958824_3847c59f47.jpg
[/IMG]

Last trip, Cinderella was Kendall's number one princess, but Belle took over some time in February. At some point, before we really knew we were going to do WDW for her bday, we started asking her what she wanted to do for the big day...and the answer was always something with "Yellow dress Belle." So basically, I was making good on this wish!

Check in took a while, but the chaos was under control unlike the scene back in December. We also didn't wait very long to get in, but I realized that is all timing. I guess they don't continuously reseat empty tables- i.e. they wait to seat for each rotation. We'd see this on the way out- with masses of people waiting to get in and no Belle or other princesses in sight.

Last time we got a little goody bag of gifts for each girl from Belle- nothing major- just stickers, but there was none of that this time. On the positive side- the Belle that night was miles better than the one we met in Dec. Not only did we like our pictures, she really talked to them and asked Kendall to twirl with her so the could both show off their pretty skirts.

Our table wasn't in the prettiest section this time, but we were close enough to the buffet that I could talk to the kids from the buffet while getting food...yet far enough to the side section that we didn't have buffet traffic coming right by our table.

The kids also really like the buffet at Akershus. Kendall became a huge smoked salmon fan on this trip and Sammie was digging the muenster and salami.

It was a while before we had princesses so we were playing peek a boo with the chairs.

Thankfully, Aurora came by before I lost my mind.

Shortly after- dinner was served. I got the mushroom ravioli this time and was MUCH happier. I can't recall what DH or the kids had, but I remember that they gave Sammie a complimentary entree...last time we paid out of pocket for it.

We went through the rest of the princess rotation after this. Everyone was good, but once again- Ariel was the rock star of the bunch (Cindy was pretty good too...swear we saw the same Snow White we saw at CRT).

(still don't know what's up with Miss K and these serious faces)

The girls did the processional and I believe they walked around with Snow White without any begging us to come along.

Then we waited on dessert. Sammie, DH and myself shared the standard trio- which was actually really good this time, but Kendall got a cupcake.

(sorry, I just found it funny that the plates for a Norwegian restuarant are made in England- I guess I just figured they'd be made in ... well... Norway)

Sammie was done sitting at the table. Trying to look through her pressed penny was the last bit of table entertainment she was will to go for.

I had to walk her all around the entry way to keep her happy. We even twirled around in Belle's area and shared the throne with some other little girls. This was about the time we realized how they seat in shifts. A CM near the entry was getting a good laugh out of Sammie – somehow it came up that Kendall had been constantly asking to work at Disney someday...he inquired about her age and got a good laugh when I told her she turned 5 that day. He said to come back in about 11 years.

We were getting ready to leave and as much as I wanted to head out into the World Showcase to find a spot for Illuminations, I wanted to give the bday girl a choice...so I asked her: Fireworks? Or Rides? She chose rides...it stung a little, especially with it being about 8pm and seeing all the people starting to stake out their spots, but this is what she wanted. It was off to Test Track, but I at least snapped some pics of the mamus clouds in the area along the way. (at least they looked like mamus clouds to me)

We arrived at Test Track and while it was well past our fastpass time, DH and Kendall were allowed into the fastpass line- as usual. I took a few pics around the ride in hopes it wouldn't take long and we'd get to do our rider swap...

...but Sammie was furious. She wanted to ride a ride and she couldn't understand why this time there were things Kendall could ride that she couldn't (starting to become a theme). I took her all around the area hoping to keep her happy, but nothing was doing the trick. I even noted to a few people (the ones giving me those- "she's a bad parent" looks) that she had double naps today. I snapped pics along the way including one of princess cranky pants.

It took around 45 min, but Kendall and DH were finally done. DH said Kendall giggled the whole way and said she LOVED riding the big kid rides. As of yesterday, this is still her fave ride from the trip. Somewhere in Sammie's tantrum we agreed to ride Spaceship Earth next...

...so that's where we headed. Too bad we saw this part of the line for quite some time.

The ride broke down while we were on line...they said it would be less than 5 minutes, but it clearly was taking longer. To make it worse- we were standing there listening to the bangs from Illuminations with a fully obstructed view. They eventually cleared the line saying the ride would be down for a while...and of course this happened right as Illuminations had ended. Lots of people were exiting the park and we were fighting traffic to make our way back in. I guess at least we saw some of the lasers up on SSE. Kendall wanted to go back to “the flying ride” but everyone and their mother had the same idea. The line had died down a bit by the time I took this pic, but the line was wrapping up into the second floor of The Land pavilion towards the entrance.

We broke it to Kendall that we weren't waiting and asked if they'd like to ride “the farmer ride.” The answer was a big YES and we walked back onto Living with the Land to find more Mickeys.

Kendall's and Sammie's feet were really hurting at this point so we carried them to the stroller and started to wheel them back to the entrance. Then they saw the light up pavers and wanted to play... so, they played and twirled...

We were walking by SSE and noticed it was back open and there was no wait...so we decided to give it one more try. Of course things stopped as we got up towards the entrance, but it resumed quickly. SSE is one of those things I sort of "need" to ride each trip.

Great update and pics! Living with the Land is the great underrated ride in WDW and I'm glad to see it saved the day for you. SSE is also a must do for us. Looking forward to more.

I said it before, I'll say it again - Ariel is ALWAYS so great at M&Gs! :sohappy:

Love the twirling pictures on the light-up pavers!

I love the birthday outfits!!!! Do they have sparkly sneakers like that for adults too?? :lookaroun And Kendall's birthday cake is gorgeous! Your sketches are fantastic! I don't know how you didn't dive right into it at the table though. I guess the kiddos run the show... as they should! They will only be little princesses once.

I have trouble with 3-D too! I was having such issues in January... I tried putting the 3-D glasses over my regular distance glasses, but it wasn't quite right and gave me a headache, but without my regular glasses, it was all too fuzzy. I'm hoping on the next trip my contacts will solve the problem. But it's such a bummer not being able to really get into the shows because you can't quite see it all correctly.

Anyway, love the trip report and can't wait for more! :)

Helloooooo!!!

I started reading Friday (Friday!) I didn't even know you had started your trip report - and didn't get around to actually posting until today! I was at the Crystal Palace dinner and had to stop. I'm about to head back there, but must confess I got a glimpse of the twirly birthday outfit skirt and LOVE it! My daughter wore something similar - a little poofier- when she was 2 to dinner at Akershus! At the time she wasn't into the princess dress thing - anyway, the best thing about those skirts is they smoosh so well into a zip lock and take up zero room in your luggage!

So glad the car situation worked out!!!! Yay!!!! :sohappy:

ETA - Okay - a lot of speed reading but a few things - LOVE the cake - so cute! Love the Contemporary - what an awesome place to stay! In 2 years you will look back on all those moments of your kids getting up out of their chairs to dance and you will kind of miss it (crazy I know!) This too shall pass and all too quickly. *tear* What you will not miss is all the toddler drama. Ha! Of course there will still be drama, just a little easier to control once they are older. :) Love the report!

Awwww...loved reading all about Kendall's birthday! What an awesome day! Triple restaurant awesomeness WITH cake! Does it get any better?!

I love seeing the Princesses from the character meals. I always look at them in succession and mentally rate their "fit". Belle was one of the prettiest I've seen and the perfect fit. Perfect. Cindy & Snow, too. Ariel was okay, not the prettiest or best fit I've seen. But Aurora. Tsk Tsk Tsk. Why is it so hard to find a perfect Aurora??? She always looks forced to me...not as pretty as she should be. I always saw her as the vision of total perfection. Even when I was little & reading my Sleeping Beauty book she was always the absolute epitome of beauty. I rarely ever see an Aurora that looks the part. But hey, the headliner was awesome at Akershus so big ol' yay for y'all!!! :sohappy:

Awwwww...poor Sammie gets left behind on the big kid rides. I think we had this problem with Brian on some of the biggest kid rides (ToT & RnRC) on our first trip. I remember him being slightly put-off by it. The boys are just 20 months apart so in many ways they don't see each other as bigger or littler. Sammie-my-hammie will be there soon enough even tho it will feel like an eternity to her. I think I would feel like Miss Cranky-Pants if I was in her shoes, tho. :D

Love love lovin' it!
