My mother goes here on almost every one of her trips and she has always loved it.
She went this past August and I guess she didn't like it as much, but I think it was mostly due to the fact that the AC wasn't working.

We ate there during our last visit in August the food was good, so you should enjoy it. I will admit that we enjoyed the Bistro de Paris upstairs more.
One thing that was fun was that our chef Remy from Ratatouille came around to every table.

cmark1 -- I noticed that your dinner is on April 4, and that is a Sunday. Just want to let you know that Remy does not appear on Sundays. We were disappointed to find that out when we went a couple Sundays ago for lunch. Remy was one of the reasons I wanted to go there.

Anyway, we really enjoyed both the French onion soup and the lobster bisque. Also, the escargot looked really good, but we didn't have any. That's on my list to get for the next time we go to Chefs this Spring (which will not be on a Sunday. grin.)

My daughters all time favorite dish in the parks - she 'graduated' to it from the chicken last year, after she ate half of mine :). She was so happy when we later went on the Disney Cruise and they had duck on the menu.

Everything on the Chefs de France menu is good. And, they have a great wine list. Wine that I actualy recognize like Chateau Martinens, Margaux, 2003. At $80 a bottle, you are looking at about a 100% markup, but that par for the Disney course.

Oh, good - so Remy is still there?

I want to take my kiddos to see this next time. I think they will LOVE it! Thanks!

PS - How was your Outback Bowl experience? Nothing like winning 3 times! We were about to DIE when they went into overtime JUST as we were getting on the plane to fly home from Chicago. We were screaming "Noooo........ :)" We always seem to be in "enemy" territory on game days. Last time we flew it was out of Atlanta on the day of the Georgia game!

^^^ yes, according to our server, he still comes around, every day but Sunday, both during lunch and during dinner.

Outback Bowl was..... wet. Those of us at the game were extremely excited when we won the first time, then excited but wary when we won the second time, and then just plain ready to leave by the time we won the third time. However, it was great that we were able to get our 8th, 9th and 10th wins of the season out of it (to loosely quote Chizik).

Selfishly, as we drove off Disney property that morning (Jan. 1), I was actually relieved that it was rainy, because as much as I love my Auburn Tigers, I hated the idea of missing the day at WDW. So the rain made me feel better about not being in the parks.

Does anybody know at this point how long Remy is supposed to stay there? They seem to keep pushing the date back (if he has one). We have a lunch reservation at Le Chefs in a couple of weeks that we made really just to see Remy. So chances are good we will be able to see him? This will be in the middle of the week, not on a Sunday.

Mmmmm - though I wish they would do a nicer job plating it.

We tried Le Chefs de France and the food and service were good. However, there wasn't anything memorable about it. I would probably try it again.

Ate lunch at Chefs de France on my solo trip and LOVED it! I assume dinner would be just as good (and the French Onion soup ... :slurp:)

What else is good:

French Onion Soup (but of course)
escargot (naturally)
beef tenderloin

Not so good (for one person, so this may not be true across the board:)

Seafood - Bouillabaisse (In fairness, the individual did not want to send it back (but she should have - there was something wrong with that dish, that night)

Your pictures are outstanding! We have lunch ressies here, do they still have the $20 lunch menu? We are not on any dining plan and will be paying out of pocket and I thought this would be an affordable lunch option, what's your take on this?

Thanks for the compliment.

Here is a picture of lunch :)

--- Eh, I know I have one somewhere, I thought it was online. If I can find it I will poet it ----

As far as I know, they still offer the "French Menu" of Onion Soup, Croque Monsieur, and Creme Brulee. It is a good price for what you get. I don't normally do it, because I am not looking for soup, sandwich, and dessert.
You are saving about 4-5 dollars by ordering the "package"

If the package is what you want, then by all means it is good. But if you want something else then maybe you want to pay for it.

Oh, and see how good the duck is ... :)

I will have to get my hubby to get the duck so I can try it! My taste is not as sophisticated as most although I want anything I eat to be plated nicely with no stuff running down the sides of the bowls etc... I love the onion soup/sandwich/brulee combo for lunch and then something more substantial for dinner so I appreciate the info!

I would love to know too! I am hoping (fingers crossed, fingers crossed) we will be able to spend a couple of days at WDW in March. I wanted to take our kiddos there for dinner to see Remy.

The youtube video says he is there for a "limited time." Will he still be there in March?

Hope so!

The previous lunch pictures I posted were the $20 lunch meal. It consisted of French Onion soup, French toasted ham and cheese sandwich with a green salad, as well as the Creme Brulee (which I forgot to take a photo of because I inhaled it before I remembered ... lol).

There are other combinations for the lunch as well ... http://allears.net/menu/menu_cdf.htm
