So, like I promised, I got a few shots of the electrical storms (which is pretty much how it stayed). I'll upload the animated .GIF's at the end, but somehow they lose some quality in translation.

My DH is like that. He is sure he is going to die when he reaches 63ish because his mom and dad died at that age. They were alcoholics. He is not. but he is still convinced.:lookaroun

I know two people who had similar circumstances.
It's scary when you get to "that" age. But they both beat it by a long shot and are still going strong.
I guess you can't help but worry, though.

I already "outlived" my dad, but I remember thinking about it on my birthday that year.

No it scares me to death when I hear him talking about it. He will be 56 in Sept. I try not to let it worry me but I do. We have 3 yound DDs he has to be around for.

Woah, cool pictures Dan!!! :dazzle: :dazzle:

WOW!
Those are great!
Thanks for sharing, Weather Dude! :)

Thanks... it takes about 45 minutes to get back home from where the playoffs are being held (today's the last game out of 5, BTW). Needless to say, those were a long 45 without my camera. I shot all those from the roof of my car, just 'cause I needed something to steady the tripod. I can't believe I even got some bolts in there, which technically are my first lightning pics. :sohappy:

There's a little 15-second vid I shot, too, coming shortly.

Hang it here, Susie!
He'll probably stick around till a ripe old age and drive you crazy in the process!

Thanks again, guys. It was really odd seeing all those flashes over the lake and getting NOTHING here. (It was mostly heat lightning anyway, but still...)

EDIT: ^Is that preview exciting or what?

Cool!
We could have done with a bit less rain here and more lightning and thunder.
