Recently, I had to accompany my mom's nursing home roommate to an appointment at our local hospital. When we got off the elevator there, I saw Manny seated at the information desk. His face lit up with a huge smile when he saw me and he told me he volunteers there! How great is that? He's barely walking but still he does that!

:wave: Back from lunch.

Wow, first the homeless man w/ the kitties...now over lunch I stumbled across the memorial for one of the 2 firefighters that was killed in the Deutsche Bank building down by Ground Zero. It's at St. Pat's 1/2 a block from my office. It is so eerie, they have Fifth Ave. completely blocked off and have the memorial playing over a loudspeaker. It's completely silent aside from that, even w/ the sidewalks full of firefighters & tourists.
