Do you have one of those for college?

Aww Betty
I can say I hated it when Corey went off to live in Ablene. It was tough. He was/is my baby. But I know it was for the best. He has and still is learning sooo much. They grow up in a good kind of way.

I don't think that is going to help. I just wanted to say I know it hurts and feels good at the same time.

I know what you mean - been there with DD. I just feel that DS is a lot less ready than she was.

It's humid here too.
The sun is going to break through and it's going up to 90.
Pool day! :sohappy:
Poor Dave is going to help my brother's FIL dig out a new drywell this afternoon and finish it up tomorrow. It's supposed tobe in the high 90's tomorrow....

Then what does Manny do?

Takes off his sunglasses and looks forward to our first indoor party, at which he scopes out the dance floor. Gotta love him!
Manny has slowed down quite a bit since last winter. He walks with a cane now. . . and quite slowly. But last Valentine's Day he was the hit of our party. He danced up a storm!

For Jen:

First Day
Every one has a "First Day"
when they feel sad and all alone.
It can be so scary
when you're out on your own.
Take my hankie, dry your tears.
You'll find lots of things to do
and you'll probably make new friends.
I promise we'll be together
when the school day ends.
Here comes the teacher,
blow your nose and be brave.
Come on now wipe your eyes,
this is no way to behave.
"Well, good morning teacher.
We really must beg your pardon.
No, MOMMY doesn't always act this way.
But it's my first day of....KINDERGARTEN!"

Love you Dot - he was fine - lots of things to explore. Here's a pic of the toothless wonder:

Yay Manny!

He is really something.
Recently, I had to accompany my mom's nursing home roommate to an appointment at our local hospital. When we got off the elevator there, I saw Manny seated at the information desk. His face lit up with a huge smile when he saw me and he told me he volunteers there! How great is that? He's barely walking but still he does that!
