Kim Possible adventure Epcot change rumor

I think this sounds like a great idea! Most kids just love P&F, and I think it would be an easy swap. Really, they wouldn't have to touch the props at all, just create some new story lines and add the new graphics to the Kimminicators (and re-name those as well :) ).

It couldn't be that expensive, and it would be a big draw to get the elementary school age demographic into WS, you know, the ones too old for the kidcot stations. I enjoyed Kim Possible when it was on, but I also enjoy P&F, so I wouldn't be overly heartbroken.

When it comes down to it, Disney absolutely hates their TV shows. They never let them have any life after they end, what with withholding DVD releases or canning comic book continuations just as soon as they're getting established. A shame Kim Possible is leaving from fading to obscurity. Yeah Perry fits the spy theme, but Doofenschmirtz is too focused on the Tri-State Area for it to fit the globe-trotting part.

This is such a true and unfortunate statement. The only thing I can figure is new people get put in charge of the tv network and want to put their own stamp on it.

Disney has done a HORRIBLE job of creating and maintaining their properties. I have to laugh every time I think of Iger remarking that Disney should go out and buy properties when they've done such a horrible job of taking advantage of their own creations. Especially with Disney Junior starting, they should be bringing back old favorites like Bear In The Big Blue House, JoJo and Goliath, The Little Einsteins, Johnny & The Sprites, Kim Possible, etc., etc.

They even do a terrible job of maintaining and building a following their recent movie properties, like Chicken Little, Bug's Life, Up, Meet The Robinsons, The Rescuers, Roger Rabbit, etc.

As for adding Perry instead of Kim Possible, it's a much-needed improvement.

P&F have a theatrical movie in the works for next year, so the franchise has legs for at least the next few years.

They actually did a "Cars Around The World" passport just before Cars 2 came out. It was great and my son had a blast. They should've continued it. It would've been even better if they would have put cars from the different countries outside for kids to have m&gs with (i.e., Francisco in Italy, etc.). For probably $200,000 to create each of the 4 or 5 main cars from the movie, they could've had a pretty major draw for a year or two and draw kids to the World Showcase. Another missed opportunity by TDO....

I think the Midship Detective game on the Disney Dream was very entertaining--I think incorporating use of disposable QR cards rather than maintaining a fleet of phones from 2001 would be a wise move if they decide to change this game around.

That being said, my personal opinion is that Epcot has had more and more shoe-horned into it over the years. A prime example is the Aladdin meet and greet in Morocco. I understand the desire to make WS in particular into a more "kid-friendly" area, but in doing so they detract from my Epcot experience and the experience of many other adults. I know there are many reasons people can and will list as to why this is a good thing, but to me throwing characters in WS is tantamount to taking out the mandrils from the Safari and replacing them with Rafiki doing a musical interlude.

That's not true! You're lying!

Quit making up false rumors like almost everyone else on this questionable forum does!

If this forum is so "questionable" why do you even bother posting or reading stuff posted here then, hmm?

Anywho, I think redoing KP with Agent P is a good idea. I see sooo many people wearing Perry shirts around the parks these days, both kids and adults. It's a character that kids can relate to. And it doesn't seem too hard to swap it all over to Agent P. I think it's a good idea.

And yet Disney must provide what its guests demand.

To me, the M&Gs in Epcot don't detract too much from the overall theme. After all, this is Disney World--a place for families. I can understand why the original World Showcase would have bored little kids. Nowadays, kids can meet Aladdin and Jasmine (even if they don't exactly belong in Morocco) and I can enjoy the belly dancer. Win-Win.

First off, we are quite large Phineas and Ferb fans in our house. At least one episode is watched each and every day, with most days getting a couple of episodes viewed. It is definitely our daughter's favorite show and in my opinion, one of the more intelligent shows on Disney Channel.

That being said, I would rather they did not change the KP Adventures to Agent P. The character of Kim Possible was already done on TV by the time we did the adventures at Epcot. It was the first anyone in our family had ever seen any of the characters. To us, she was like Figment - a character based in Epcot. And to most people who do the adventures now, that is what she is. Is that a problem? I have no knowledge of statistics on how many missions are done each day and whether the adventures are still popular, but there always seem to be quite a few people at each station when we are there. With a change to Agent P, I expect that would likely actually get much worse and create more demand than they can handle. People would not be doing the adventures to experience them and (god forbid) learn something about the countries, they would be doing them to see what silly thing happens to Doof or to get their picture with Agent P.

I think moving to hip, popular characters would actually hurt this attraction. I think it is frustrating enough that they allow more than 5-10 families to be on the same adventure at once, much less the hundreds of families who would want to do an Agent P mission. I can just see it now - a line out the door of the Japan store of people waiting to see the Baby-bot-inator burb (as opposed to the 4 people around that display every few minutes as it tends to be now).

My $.02

You can change it from rumor to fact, it has been in the works for a while now. The official name right now is "Agent P's World Showcase Adventure"

There will be some changes with the interactive props, some will change others will not. Most of the finales will because Agent P will be fighting against Dr Doofenshmirtz in every country.

Thanks, any word on time frame? We will be visiting in September an would love to partake in some Doofinsmirtzing!

The change probably will happen since Disney has announced a possible spin-off about Isabella and her Fireside Girls troop, a theatrical film for the series and Disney announced a fourth season & episodes rolling out through 2014.So if Disney doesn't have the money now they have till 2014 to get it done.

How in the world does some meet & greets do to "detract" from the EPCOT experience? Most, if not all, of the M & Gs at EPCOT are out of the way and out of the sight of most guests anyway!

And, your example of taking out the mandrils and adding Rafiki to the Safari is a completely different thing. On a ride (or in a show like The Tiki Room), you're a captive audience. At EPCOT, you are free to walk where you please and don't have to go anywhere near the characters. If anything, the characters add some ambience to areas that would otherwise be dead and empty.

This rumor is true and I've hinted at it for a while now but never come out and said it. It will be called "Phinias & Ferb's World Showcase Adventure." All new effects (and even new country pavilions) will be used. It will promenently feature Perry. Changeover is budgeted at approx $6M.

Great news! Hopefully, they'll have some merch for this one! I looked for a KP World Showcase Adventure pin or a shirt or something that said "I Saved The World" (or something along those lines) and not a thing to be found. I want to give Disney my money and they just won't take it!

Seems like a no-brainer, doesn't it?
