I'm super excited! I just bought my first AP. I'm waiting for it to come in the mail. When I get it, will I be getting the actual AP or the voucher?

Yes. You will trade in your voucher for your actual AP at a ticket window. How does the voucher work? You can pay for the AP ahead of time and then when you get down there you present the voucher so that your AP date starts on the day you start using it?
From the day you take it to the ticket window. So with the voucher, does your AP start from the day you purchase or from the day you trade in the voucher? Will my AP expire on September 6, 2011, or a year from the day I actually go to the ticket window?
The AP you will get when you trade in your voucher is printed on a mylar stock that looks similar to paper. The mylar stock is actually much more durable then the plastic cards. The magnetic strip on the plastic cards will demagnetize much easier and the printing will also wear off quite easily. We'll be getting ours as well! I do laugh how the voucher you get in the mail is an actual hard plastic card, but the AP itself is so much thinner....I know I read back it was due to the scanning strip on the card...But I would have thought the hard plastic would hold up better..!

I realize its nice to get things done ahead of time, but if you still have to go to the window to change the voucher to a pass, why not just buy the pass at the window? Thats what we do every other year. We love our AP's. Have had them for many years. Great benefits!

1) To have the AP for booking purposes. Everyone says you don't need it, but several cast members have said yes.
2)To spread out the cost. Paying for one AP at a time is a good way to budget and spread out cost.
3)I am extremely impatient and am super excited.
