I've had it with stitch.....

Stitch REVOLUTION....!!!

This complaint about Stitch is getting worn out. Just because he doesn't hold any interest to you, that must mean everybody else out there has your same point of view.

Open your mind...try to accept the fact Disney may be doing something for the majority of visitors and not just you!:brick:

If everyone that was fed up with Stitch would stay home like they threaten to, there would be what:shrug:...like two dozen less people there??

"*takes off hat, and stands up clapping*

Bravo sirs. Sheer brilliance. I agree 100%."

The Stitch problem is a gross oversimplification of an over all WDW merch problem. They pump out the same homogenized crap for the entire resort instead of making quality, special items for each area.

So on many of these issues I agree with you. I think that they should have a Tron portion of TL. I did like the Stitch movies but they are over shadowing all of the great characters in Disney's history. Where is Mickey in his own Kingdom??
That's a great idea, i never saw tron, but ive played kingdom hearts and it looked tight. and if theres a tron 2, why dont they use tomorrowland like a billboard like they do for everythign else?

As was posted earler the problem isnt the character, there are plenty of characters all over the park that i dont care for. It's the fact that they are bombarding one section of the park with one character only. L&S isnt even a diverse movie, it has what..stitch? It's not like toy story where you could actually grab 12 characters out of it to identify with and parade around the park.

And like ive said elsewhere if they did this with ANY ONE character, i would be just as angry. Even if they took one MOVIE and did it (like a mike W ride, MILF, sully christmas, randal ride) id b ed and want it all removed. I'm even fine with the stitch pav if they get ride of SGE, just we need some give and take here but all they keep doing is adding more and more and more and more stitch like hes steamboat willy or something!

I feel a little bit of tension on this thread..........:lookaroun
lets all just agree to disagree
but i do agree that the problem isnt the little blue rat, its the worthless attraction they decided to make for him....:hurl:

I agree 100% with the original poster. Stitch is uncreative garbage. He will be nothing in 10 years time. I just don't get it.

BTW, Tron for a new ride in Tomorrowland...now that is an idea!

In my mind there are only 2 good original movies that Disney (not Pixar) have made in the last 20 years and thats LK and Stitch (and even LKs stretching the term original). I hate the attractions that they've built around Stitch but I love the movie and the character. Don't go hating on the Blue guy.

I think there are just as many issues with the over use of Pixar characters that have been well debated in these forums.

Why...because WDW is all about you??

As long as other people pay for the Stitch dolls, hats, shirts, etc, etc you are going to see Stitch every which way but up:lookaroun

I know this will just about cause cardiac arrest in most everybody here, but I could care less about the good old Head Mouse himself...he is probably one of my least favorite. But I know I am in the vast, vast minority, so it is what it is. If anyone thinks Disney is pumping out Stitch items and attractions because there is no interest in him, than I can't help at this point...it is time for some serious therapy.

For those of you (us) who love Walt Disney World . . .

and love traditional animation . . .

but are having a hard time thinking of a good reason to like Stitch:

Lilo and Stitch was the last successful traditional animation Disney movie created at the Disney-MGM Studios. :king:

So there you go. Take THAT, Mickey Mouse. :p

Ok

They make EVERY pin with a 'stitch' version of it. What ever, it's kinda cute, i can deal, i just wont buy em b/c im not a huge stitch fan

They remove AE and replace it with SGE. A complete attrocity. The only dark ride in ALL of disney, the only one you can TRUELY call an adult attraction (and even though disney is ''family' it is riddled with kids only attractions). They could have solved the complaint issue with a 60 inch height restriction, but whatever, disney executives arent that smart now a days.

They close down Tomorrowland Theater and build SSSC. A waste of space, total stitch over kill, a way to further kiddify TL as well as placing it in a position that makes TL look tackey as hell. But since nothing was there prior, i just wont go around it, not as big of a sin as closing AE.

BUT NOW they are having stitchmas during MVMCP....STICHMAS!!! WHAT IN THE HELL. SERIOUSLY, who has a hard-on for stitch in the upper levels of MK? Really, someone is getting MADD turned on by that fuzzy blue ______________, why else would he totally take over TL? I mean really, he has taken over. He's disneys hitler. I've gone to MVMCP for 3 years running, and we traveled to disney for a week during CHRISTMAS time just for this event. EFF that, screw disney and it's stitchification, im just gonna stay home now.

Can someone please explain to me what in the HELL is going on? I'm supposed to be leaving for disney in 36 hours, and now i dont even feel like going . Thanx wdw, you sure know how to keep the "magic" going....

:sohappy:

We may disagree on MILF but here is something that I completely agree with you on. Death to Stitch.

Wasn't Brother Bear considered a success?

Wasn't Brother Bear considered a success?

Br'er Bear from Song of the South is much better known and more popular despite his movie not having been seen in the USA in 30 years!

When characters from Brother Bear are out in the Canada pavilion at Epcot, many people can't place the movie they are from, much less their names.

The Country Bears are probably better known. :p

We can debate whether Brother Bear was a success. Fantasia lost money but is highly regarded and well represented in the SpectroMagic parade. Brother Bear made money but people are  about it.

Anyway, I'm just trying to give folks some reason not to gag on the Stitchification of the Magic Kingdom. :D

Now I liked the Lilo and Stitch movie, but the overmarketing of Stitch is simply sick. Especially how it seems like Disney wants to make Stitch apart of the fab 5. :brick:

Now I understand that Stitch is a popular character, but I honestly don't think he's as popular as Disney thinks he is.
