Isle of Disney - Magic Kingdom

Kaa is actually more of a comic relief than a full blonw "fear-inducing" villain. Shere Khan I guess would the scariest but that is an overstatement, the Disney Jungle Book movie really made them laughable instead of scary. Following the Real Jungle Book might confuse people since there is a Disney version after all.

one beauty of this project is we can let the parks be open until whenever we want, we don't have to close early, wasn't there years back in the Glory days that MK was open 'till 1am? So the nighttime version of POTC could definately work. It also adds to the "revisitng" factor of the park that it's different during the day and different at night.

Yeah, I might be thinking too much of the real Jungle Book... so I guess you're right...

But ok, I think we should decide on the temple. I'd say inka inspirated or something. But I don't think the Tiki room should be in the temple, since the Tiki room is more polynesian than south-american/inka...

Also I think the Jungle Cruise and POTC is also definites... so what else?

Here are my ideas:

Indiana Jones: not like the original DL ride but something a little different while still using the EMV technology. Updated effects, possibly different thrills (I like the TDS part when ur stareing at the crystal and all of a sudden you go for a long drop. This would fit well since it has to do with Mayan culture in a way since it is in a temple plus 4th movie coming out in 2005-2006.

For my next idea I dont have a name but what I'm am thinking is a suspended swinging family coaster through the Rainforest. As you fly by reaching speeds just over 30 mph animal are seen below such as elephants (squirts water at you as you pass by) lions ride past, and monkeys fly by you swinging from the trees. The idea for a dueling coaster could also be used instead of a more intense ride is wanted.

Post more later when I have time.

Here are MKGu23's ideas for Adventureland (he's not able to post on the forum):

FireMountain - all I know is that it should include a scene in the volcano and a scene in the jungle.

Pirates of the Caribbean - longer version that WDW’s. More like DL’s. Also based on the film.

Jungle Cruise: another clone.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Lost Souls - an EMV wide where guests journey with Indy on a quest through a temple natives of the Brazilian jungles called “Hanshulsions” (created) sacrificed other humans. Now, it is said that the humans who they sacrificed still haunt the temple to this very day. But the fact that there is a jewel that is said to conquer death is located in the center of the temple doesn’t stop Indy from chasing after it.

Lilo’s Tropical Luau - Lilo (from Lilo and Stitch) is holding performance to show guests what living in Hawaii is like. She has invited 10 Hawaiian natives to hold a luau that guests can watch while they enjoy a great feast (featuring Hawaiian food and Stitch as the cook) around a blazing bonfire at night. (Reservations required as there can only be about 50 people at each performance and they only take place once each night)

The Enchanted Tiki Room - I think a totally new show featuring Iago and Zazu (any other Disney birds?) and their friends. Don’t know about a storyline though.

Adventure Isle

Haunted Jungle Trek - on this attractions, guests are guided through the jungle by a tour guided by a native of the island. The story is that an unidentified creature has been destroying and terrorizing the village. You are on the hunt to look for it. You travel through caves and through a volcano.

Tiki Juice Bar - a small bar made for kids that serves juice and drinks for kids. Around the bar are AA tiki birds that talk and interact with the kids (like the Crush thing at WDW)

Tarzan’s Treehouse - basically a clone of DL’s.

Jolly Rodger - Come aboard mates on Captain Hooks ship. A ship like Captain Hooks gallery.

Skull Rock and Hidden Treasure Caves - a play area for kids that contains caves and trails for kids to play on. Kind of like CampJurassic at Universal IOA.

Mermaid Lagoon - an area on the beaches of Adventure Isle with a little beach, fountains and other water activities for kids to play in.

Prideland Safaris - join Timon and Pumbaa on an adventure through the Pridelands, The Elephant Graveyard and the Jungle. The Heyenas and Scar are on your tail. This ride would be quite humorous because, well, it’s Timon and Pumbaa.

Yeah, I guess we need to decide where Indy should go. What is really the most suitable place? I vote for Studios...

While a volcano would surely be nice, I'm also very attracted to the temple idea stitchcastle talked about. Wonder if we could have both landmarks?

Personally I think we should totally re-think this ride...

MKGu23 said:
Jungle Cruise: another clone.

Make it longer, make variations (different routes)... and I'm in...

Still think Indy should be for Studios...

Besides that extremely low attendance rate, I like the idea...

The Haunted Jungle track with a tour guide? Hmm, I'm not sure about the tour guide and if it would actually work... wouldn't it be hard to pull off?

And I dunno whether it should be Swiss Family or Tarzan Treehouse...

Rest sounds good...

My comments will be in GREEN.

FireMountain - all I know is that it should include a scene in the volcano and a scene in the jungle. Yes...

Pirates of the Caribbean - longer version that WDW’s. More like DL’s. Also based on the film. Yes, but not based on the film. Maybe cameo appearences by the main characters from the movie?

Jungle Cruise: another clone. Yup

Disney Studios

Yep, but bigger attendance.

The Enchanted Tiki Room - I think a totally new show featuring Iago and Zazu (any other Disney birds?) and their friends. Don’t know about a storyline though. NOT IAGO AND ZAZU. NO CHARACTER OVERLAYS. Maybe something unique like Tokyo's "Catch the Fever"?

Adventure Isle

Haunted Jungle Trek - on this attractions, guests are guided through the jungle by a tour guided by a native of the island. The story is that an unidentified creature has been destroying and terrorizing the village. You are on the hunt to look for it. You travel through caves and through a volcano. Maybe this volcano can be Fire Mountain? It would be pointless to have 2 volcanos.

Tiki Juice Bar - a small bar made for kids that serves juice and drinks for kids. Around the bar are AA tiki birds that talk and interact with the kids (like the Crush thing at WDW) Not Adventure Isle, maybe by Tiki Room? New, unique name needed. Liki Tikis, perhaps? (haha, it stinks, i know, but thats all i can think of)

Tarzan’s Treehouse - basically a clone of DL’s. Ahhh.... Maybe something like "Shipwreck Treehouse" where parts of a shipwreck are the parts of a tree?

Jolly Rodger - Come aboard mates on Captain Hooks ship. A ship like Captain Hooks gallery. Yeah, cool!

Skull Rock and Hidden Treasure Caves - a play area for kids that contains caves and trails for kids to play on. Kind of like CampJurassic at Universal IOA. Hmmm... maybe for DAK?

Mermaid Lagoon - an area on the beaches of Adventure Isle with a little beach, fountains and other water activities for kids to play in. DisneySea or Fantasyland

Prideland Safaris - join Timon and Pumbaa on an adventure through the Pridelands, The Elephant Graveyard and the Jungle. The Heyenas and Scar are on your tail. This ride would be quite humorous because, well, it’s Timon and Pumbaa. DAK, definetly

BTW- Nexus, what's in Phase I? I lost the list...

Anyway... maybe we can work on two parks at once, or will that be too hard? I'm not sure...

Magic Kingdom, DisneySea and Animal Kingdom... and I think we should take each park, each land at a time... it's a lenghty process... well, unless everyone is active..

And ImaginEAR, about your comments:

Mermaid Lagoon --> This type I think is pretty much based off the Neverland mermaid lagoon and fits in with the Skull rock and jolly rodger, so...

I like your idea about the shipwreck treehouse. Like a tornade or tsunami carried it up there. A cool and unique idea! Me like :)

BTW, where's your list of ideas ;)

Skull Rock and Hidden Treasure Caves? Is that the PotC? If it is use it. If not we should defiently without a doubt consider it.

It's somewhat the same as in DLP...

That treehouse idea is cool, but the Swiss Family built theirs from a shipwreck, as did the Tarzan family.

POTC...how would you do the change? And what would be different? Would there actually be two canals for the boats, then at night they switch or what?

Jungle Cruise...I agree with Nexus. Needs to be longer and more areas. I think they should all take the same route, or if they are different, make like two of each route, that way its the same experience...your just in a different canal from the other people. Get it? If you need me to, I can make a drawing of what I mean.

What happened to my ideas for Adventure Island? No one really commented on them... But I do like these. NO Haunted Jungle Trek though.

Fire Mountain all sounds good...I still need to scan my concept art (just mountain...no roller coaster track in the pic)

I think Aladdin stuff should not only be in DisneySeas. Stuff can be mixed up throughout different parks. I think we atleast need the Flying Carpets of Aladdin in AL. Possibly more... But an Agrabah MarketPlace would be really cool (big one..not dinky and small like WDW's)

I guess that settles it, there WILL be a Fire Mountain in Adventureland

Pirates of the Caribbean - longer version that WDW’s. More like DL’s. Also based on the film.

could work

Jungle Cruise: another clone.

No clones! That defeats the goal of the project

Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Lost Souls - an EMV wide where guests journey with Indy on a quest through a temple natives of the Brazilian jungles called “Hanshulsions” (created) sacrificed other humans. I guess another Indy EMV is inevitable but I'm not all too giddy about Indy playing with ghosts, the whole ghost thing has already been a bit over-worked.

I'm Not sure I wanna see a life-size lilo with that big head hula-ing around a stage... unless of course you use real little girls...

The Enchanted Tiki Room - I think a totally new show featuring Iago and Zazu (any other Disney birds?) and their friends. Don’t know about a storyline though.
although it's not really a totally new concept, i wouldn't mind.

Adventure Isle

Haunted Jungle Trek - on this attractions, guests are guided through the jungle by a tour guided by a native of the island. The story is that an unidentified creature has been destroying and terrorizing the village. You are on the hunt to look for it. You travel through caves and through a volcano.

story problem, an unidentified creature is destroying the place...why go on a tour of it? I like the idea though but there seems to be a bit of "tour" overkill int he land already

Tiki Juice Bar - a small bar made for kids that serves juice and drinks for kids. Around the bar are AA tiki birds that talk and interact with the kids (like the Crush thing at WDW)

Me likey :D

Tarzan’s Treehouse - basically a clone of DL’s.
once again, no clones!

Jolly Rodger - Come aboard mates on Captain Hooks ship. A ship like Captain Hooks gallery.
why not

Skull Rock and Hidden Treasure Caves - a play area for kids that contains caves and trails for kids to play on. Kind of like CampJurassic at Universal IOA.

So I'm guessing we're building Neverland huh? I like it, i've always had a neverland area in my previous incarnations of MK parks, great way to connect to Fantasyland even though it disrupts the over-all theme of Adventureland but I'm ok with it.

Mermaid Lagoon - an area on the beaches of Adventure Isle with a little beach, fountains and other water activities for kids to play in.

replace this with an Indian camp instead people will get it confused with another, more popular Mermaid and her lagoon.

Prideland Safaris - join Timon and Pumbaa on an adventure through the Pridelands, The Elephant Graveyard and the Jungle. The Heyenas and Scar are on your tail. This ride would be quite humorous because, well, it’s Timon and Pumbaa.

this would look adorable at AK, cute way to update Kilimanjaro Safaris...unless it's a darkride of sorts (although it would be a very very cute dark ride)...once again tour overkill.

Two things Stitch:

1. An indian camp would not work well in Adventureland because it doesnt fit. Fronteirland would be the place to be.

2. Why no clones??? No clones means no Small World, no Country Bears, and alot of other rides will suffer. THere should be some clones. I do agree with no exact clone of Jungle Cruise though.

No...NO Clones, improved, extended versions, YES...clones, NO :)

An Indian Camp would work if it were in Neverland and from what it looks like, he seems to be working on Neverland.

by the way, about where Indy goes? I think it would be better for us if we keep him out of the studios unless it's a stunt show. DisneySea or Adventureland would work well, I say DisneySea since Adventureland looks like it's getting crowded already.

We NEED Jungle Cruise. It's a classic, and we need it.

Tarzan overlay for the treehouse I'm not too crazy about. Let's all think of a bunch of themes for one and pick it towards the end of Adventureland.
1. Swiss Family Robinson
2. Tarzan (NOOO)
3. Pirates
4. Shipwreck
5. Fire Mountain Explorer's treehouse. It's the home of the people excavating Fire Mountain.
6. Uhhhh.....
_________________________________
POTC should be like Disneyland's with a Blue Bayou, but a new name for the restaurant.

Fire Mountain story anyone? I'm thinking that excavators search the mountain for jewels and treasure in the tomb of the Emperor of Moku O ke Ahi Mauna (Island of the Fire Mountain in Hawaiian) (sorry if that's not right Hawaiian, that's what you get with a Hawaiian translator on the internet...) and the emperor is disrupted, and tries to chase the excavators (guests) out of the mountain using his magical powers over the fire and the paths through the winding labyrinth inside the volcano.

OOO I like that ImaginEAR! (Fire mountain story). Must it be Hawaiian though? Can't it be just any South Pacific area? Also...I like your Fire Mountain Explorer Treehouse idea...that would be sooo cool. The treehouse could be right below Fire Mountain and a waterfall from the mountain could provide a creek for the waterwheel and stuff!

Thank you. No, it doesn't have to be Hawaiian, I just picked that out.

I love that idea about the treehouse... The waterfall coming out of the volcano, very elemental.
