I think my WDW trips are just starting. I've been over 15 times in my life and 6 of those times in the last 3 yrs. My wife wants a break. She wants to wait until we have kids to go again. But we also plan on getting a DVC membership in the next couple years. So a yearly trip for a long time might be in our future. WDW changes so much every trip offers something different, which keeps it great. But there are just some people who don't like theme parks and all, and can never go again and be ok with that.

It comes from the philosophy of "Don't worry, be happy". Might as well laugh about it because crying won't help. I just finished an intensive month or so planning what will happen after that event to save my children from having to figure it out. Although stressful, I have to admit that there was also a lot of laughter involved. Things like telling the cemetery people that I wanted a place with a nice view and almost buying a cremains vessel that looked like a Chock Full O'Nuts Coffee can.
What a fantastic post,I love your attitude, this is very approp too. Hey life is short if you are going to Disney( or anywhere else) have a good time! If you look for things to be upset about you will find them,if you ignore the stuff that may bother you and appreciate all the good things that are happening you'll have a much better time.Because who knows it may be your last

I chose yes but the straw has already broken the camels back for us. Our last trip was in 2013 and will remain so until...well, in all honesty there is so much toothpaste all over the counter I am becoming afraid there is no way it will ever go back in the tube.
So why are you here 3 years later discussing it?

If I had a crappy experience with a car 3 years ago, I wouldn't still be posting about it in the car forums.

Quite simply because I cherish the memories I have of what used to be and am in eternal hopes that changes will be made bringing those memories back into reality but I am unwilling to toss thousands of dollars away to find out soooo....I am here to keep up on events and comment as I see fit. I can only assume you are here to stick your fingers in your ears and run around screaming " LA LA LA I CANNOT HEAR OPINIONS OTHER THAN MY OWN". Good luck with that and have a magical day.;)

Yes and the opposite is true too,if you look for the good you will see some amazing things. Life goes in cycles you have a good trip, you have a bad trip. If you expect everything to be perfect all the time you are bound for disappointment.

Classy.

I'm here for information on a product I'm interested in. If I no longer find value in the product, I'll move on. Life is too short to wistfully and moan about something who's value is in the past.

I APPRECIATE YOUR COMMENT! At least you see through the bad wording of the poll question!

sometimes as i read these boards i think, "why do people on here even go to WDW if they hate it so much?"

Its an addiction, some are tragically to weak to break.
On the plus side this poll has given the troops a chance to rally behind the mouse. Especially the ubber loyalists gawd bless em nothing with that Disney logo affixed will ever be sub par in their eyes. Its very touching.

Honestly, after the 6 trips we are taking as a family every other year until 2028, we have zero plans to go back and financially support the diminishing quality we have seen over our last 3 trips since 2013. Someone has to put their foot down and show them we mean business.

I'm with you!

My (potential) trip next year will be my absolute last.

Until Avatar opens. That will also be it.

Until Star Wars opens. No more though, drawing the line!

No, but tomorrow is not promise to anyone. I turned 70 last year, so who knows how many more times I will be able to go. We are going in December for our 50th wedding anniversary. As much as a lot of people complain we still get that special feeling as we enter the world. We may not ride all the rides now due to old age, but we still feel like kids when we are there. All of those who rail about WDW should remember one thing. AS YOU GROW OLDER THE MORE YOU NEED TO REMEMBER NOT TO ACT YOUR AGE.

I'm confused... do you feel that the value is in the past with no hope of improving or are you saying that you don't feel that the value has diminished? I don't think the quality has declined all that much, but the price is starting to erode deeply into the value vs. cost ratio. To me it has become borderline worth it. At least enough for me to say that until something new happens that improves that ratio there isn't the value for me to go there. That is not to say that I wouldn't like to feel that it was worth it, but, for me personally, it has crossed the line.

I think we need to be fair and reword both questions to the same tone:

Yes, this will be my last trip because I'm easily influenced by opinions by anonymous posters on the internet
No, I will continue to go because I'm easily influenced by marketing
Maybe, I'm an adult and will make the decision based on my personal cost to value ratio

I think these should be the new Sub Forum titles from now on ;)

I'm saying that if my last trip was a toddler ago and I had no intention of returning that I wouldn't be here complaining about the missing warm fuzzy. The value would not be worth the cost and I would move on to another experience and not spend thousands of post commiserating on the perceived failings of a company that doesn't really care about me.

Good for you but as you say that is your choice. So try not to get your mickey panties in a bunch when soneone who has a different perspective to you expresses that.
Theres no rewards for corporate loyakty for the avarage punter either buy still that slavish devotion is pontificated regardless of topic.
Imho of course
