What's the problem?

Want to see (when its in good condition) and awesome effects laden animatronic storytelling ride? Without getting wet? Fine.

If you just want to get wet with no story ride Kali.

Depends on the weather I guess. If its like 100 degrees than I will not wear one. If we have some resi to get to or if its cold than I will wear one. Hay theres no shame in my game.

I wear a poncho on Splash Mountin but I cut two circles out of the front so I can still flash my because I have low self esteem and poor judgement and I enjoy ruining other peoples memories by having their photos banned from viewing.

On Kali I wear a poncho but nothing else. It's much more refreshing to have dry skivvies to put on as you exit the ride.

I still don't get why it's specifically that ride other then te similarity to "flash"

although I guess it's also freedom of movement is an issue too. it would take a lot of effort to ruin a photo for expedition everchest

Right....Why not flash at Tower of Terror also....Just think the older ladies could flash and get an instant UPLIFT at the same time.

I love the ride and the scenery, but I hate having to walk around wet. There's only two spots you even get wet, so if my little poncho keeps me dry, and I still get the thrill of the drop, then I shouldn't have to be ashamed to wear the poncho . Hey, I'm just leaving all the water for you guys.

I totally agree there is no reason to walk around the park wet. the odd thing is though, I have not gotten wet on Splash Mountain for 3 years, every time we go on it doesnt spray us. Kali is awesome though except you will GET WET. I went on early morning in summer of 2012 when there was a HUGErainstorm our whole trip we had a great time but still thank the person who created ponchos.

My niece and BIL were riding in the front of our log and got soaked. I stayed fairly dry riding in the back. I understand why somebody would want to wear a poncho on a water ride.

We rode splash once a few years ago and got absolutely drenched. Made the rest of the day miserable. It wasn't the drop that did it, it was after the drop and around the corner where we got soaked. Haven't rode Splash since for that reason, except on rainy days after we're already wet.

Rode Splash a few years ago on a blazing hot summer day and my shorts got drenched in the final drop. An hour later I had a bad rash in my groin area and had to apply diaper rash cream for the next few days. It was a combo. of the dirty water and then drying in the hot sun. (i have sensitive skin) I was walking with a funny limp because it was painful and my family just got a kick out of it, and the jokes wouldnt stop. Cant even walk by diaper rash cream in the grocery store without my wife cracking a joke. I now ride splash with a poncho covering my lap just in case.

My oldest son, who is attempting to break his fear of anything fast or remotely like a roller coaster, informed me that he'll ride Splash Mountain next trip if he can wear his poncho. I viewed it as a victory.

I'm not down with smelling like funky feet water. You don't even want to know what I do for Kali. It's a whole pack that I bring to keep me & everything I own from touching the funk water.

Forgive me, because I'm not picking on you personally. But, why go on a ride like Kali at all if you don't want to get wet?

Maybe you think you're the lucky one to get the dry seat.

On Splash, if you sit in the back you will not get soaked. You rarely get any amount of water. I've done it many times and have not gotten wet.

On Kali, everybody gets soaked no matter what. If you are not splashed from above, the tidal wave on the seat and floor gets you. You would have to wear a full rain suit with boots, to avoid getting wet.

I hate getting wet (I don't even enjoy swimming pools), and I have no desire to visit Disney's water parks, but I do like to experience the ride and the drop on Splash Mountain, so I see no harm in doing what one can to avoid getting wet. I avoid the front row and duck under my hubby's arm if water comes my way. I haven't actually worn a poncho, but I certainly support those who do. (I've never gone on Kali and have no desire to.)
