Awwww, ok, well I forgive this then. Can't deny a 4 year old Splash Mountain!!! :D She has great taste!

I agree. And to be clear, I didn't wear a poncho. But I was in the second to last row and my hair was quite wet. So I was sort of wishing I had. This was the day it reopened after the refurb. Sadly, we didn't get to go on it again before we came home, because every time we tried, it was down. Still working out the kinks, I guess.

And I have no desire to go on Kali. Been on similar rides, elsewhere. If I was in a bathing suit, maybe. But in the clothes I'm wearing all day? No thanks.

Before they repositioned that one cannon, I used to get soaked going on Splash. I like the ride, the scenery, the drop, but I HATE getting wet. So we used the ponchos before they changed it. There have been a couple of times where it's been raining lightly, so we wear them just in case.

Kali I don't like, but my brother does, so I only ride it with a poncho with him. How one can walk around the parks soaked like that is beyond me.

That's why I gave up on rides like Kali. Walking around a park all wet was alright when I was a kid, but as an adult there is no appeal to that for me anymore.

Walking around the park wet wasn't okay with me when I was a kid, teen, almost adult...I hate being wet. I ride Splash right before closing so that it case I get wet, I'm going straight back to the room anyway. When I went to DCA and rode Grizzly River Run, we did it and then went back to the room. Which was about 3 minutes later, given how close Grand Californian is to the park, lol

We got so wet on splash we went and bought new clothes and changed into them in the dressing room at one of the shops on Main Street. I absolutely can't stand being wet but I love all the other parts of the ride.

I have never gotten really wet on Splash Mt, but that is also because I always request the back row. Now Kali on the other hand every time I ride it I get soaked so I am thinking about wearing a poncho the next time. I really like the ride but I hate walking around the park soaking wet. And it takes forever to dry. So I dont think it such a big deal if someone wears a poncho, they might really like the attraction they just dont want to get soaked.

I don't mind getting a little wet but drenched is another. Before they lowered the pressure on the cannon I got absolutely drenched when sitting in the front row. I was still wet 4 hours later when I got back to the hotel. That was a miserable day. So a little wet is ok but completely drenched is not so I have no qualms of doing whatever I have to in order to prevent a drenching.

I really don't get the point. I've been on Splash at least 200 times in my life and have only gotten a little bit wet like ten of those times. I usually stay 100% dry, though I usually do go when it's colder out. Rarely go to Disney in the Summer. So that may have something to do with it.

In the many many many times I've been on Splash, I've never gotten more than a sprinkling. And that even includes sitting in the front. It beyond me why people wear ponchos on the ride but whatever floats your boat I guess. Though I generally laugh when I see people with them on the ride. But seriously, never gotten anything I would classify as more than a few drops/mist. You get more wet in Philharmagic.
