Never on Splash Mountain, but I've done it on Kali. Kali is a whole different level of wet, though. Splash is just a little spray (unless the jets hit you).
Forgive me, because I'm not picking on you personally. But, why go on a ride like Kali at all if you don't want to get wet?

I just don't see the point. It's a wet ride. You're gonna get wet!:D Don't wanna get wet. Don't ride!
I love the ride and the scenery, but I hate having to walk around wet. There's only two spots you even get wet, so if my little poncho keeps me dry, and I still get the thrill of the drop, then I shouldn't have to be ashamed to wear the poncho :). Hey, I'm just leaving all the water for you guys.

I hadn't ridden it since my first trip, and I wanted to ride it again (this was probably 10 years later), but all I could remember about it is spending the remainder of the day at AK miserable because I was soaked. So I figured that ponchos would help a bit, which they did.

It's fun to see people without ponchos freak out when the raft is turning. The interaction with other guests is priceless. It's like we all become little kids again; everyone points and laughs at whoever gets drenched. This way I could point and laugh, but not get drenched, just wet.

And no need to apologize, I understand where you're coming from.

Because you have a four year old who is DYING to go on it... and you can't say no to her?

I may or may not be speaking from experience.
Understandable. I ride because I like to see the sets, hear the music, etc. It's been many years since I rode either one. We generally would get close and nobody wanted to bother. The funky water grosses us all out. LOL!

Not for me! I love to get wet on Splash.... I have never gotten 'soaked' just a little spritz....
That is exactly my experience. After an estimated 20 rides, I never had more than a few drops on my shirt. It dried almost as soon as the drop was over. I cannot relate to all these soaking wet posts. I would guess that the only reason might be because I am underweight challenged and they don't put me in the front row for fear that when we come down the falls, the front of the log will stick directly into the ground. That may be what has kept me relatively dry. :D
