You'd almost think it was a time of year when large numbers of people are off for a week or more to celebrate a seasonal holiday, thereby limiting the amount of work that can be done.

I saw this on Twitter this morning. Someone is pointing out that refurbishment work is happening on the Chinese Theater facade.

Wow I couldn't Exactly remember the view prior, looks great. When were the walls coming down again? I'm assuming before May 4th.

They had a fireworks display with an inflatable Mickey and occasionally the fireworks would hit the spire. The spire was made retractable but I believe that malfunctioned at times as well.
And let*s not forget that the Rocketeer also used to make appearances and fly above the theater at one point during some showings.
It was epic for us Rocketeer fans!

Was the Studios' Chinese theater the one they used in the Rocketeer film? I always found that version of the theater a little 2 dimision-ish.

Isn't the Theater at DHS 3 Dimensional? Seems like a real building would be.

First I just wanted to say "hi!" Because this is my first post, so hi!
I assumed they were just going to remove the hat for good and fix up the front of the theatre, but the other day I heard someone say they plan on replacing it. Anyone know what's happening?

Yah that's what I thought too. I'll kind of miss the hat , but at the same time I'm looking forward to seeing the updated theatre.
