My hunch is that the spires were deemed a distraction behind the BAH so they were removed. With the BAH gone, I hope they come back.

My hunch is the retractable one broke and it was cheaper to remove the rest than fix it.

Damage from what? Only one was retractable and the rest just sat in the Florida sun and rain like everything else on the building. They are coming back so that is the good news.!
