Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

You might want to take a closer look at the Hollywood Tower from World Showcase. The Hollywood Tower features Moorish architecture and lines up with the Morocco Pavilion, creating a larger and cohesive image for the Pavilion. It is that view that would be disturbed by the Hat being placed as an entrance to the Hollywood Bowl Amphitheater.

If I may...

Earlier I said it was all moot. But what the heck: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/new-park-maps.891174/page-8
Interesting link.

Though the "hill" at the back of Fantasmic is more than 15ft. Sunset is higher at the southern end than ground level, and the shows moat is at ground level. So the hills height is from water level to the top of the ampitheatre seating. Which is far more than 15ft.

But I won't say that since it'll mean the poster in the link is wrong.

yes, of course... because progress has obviously been 'slow'....

Perhaps my perception of fast on a project such as this is a little more realistic... It's not just a chunk of fiberglass sitting in a parking lot.. There is a lot more to it.. Try to tailor YOUR expectations as such.

And for what it's worth.. "Crazy" meaning it's going to be "Crazy" with them cutting metal and the structure starting to lose it's final shape... For the love of god.. I didn't claim to know anything about the demolition, it was just conjecture.. Get off my back.

Don't pay attention to some of these people, not worth it. Every time I start to read through these threads I see the same "know it all" tool bags that know the answer to everything. They know so much they feel obligated to correct or poke at other members of the forums if the OPs idea isn't up to par with their own. Get lost.

I did a Google search on "Epcot Morocco sight lines". This came up first. I remember this thread. I have a comment in it. I said the guy had a lot of time on his hands. I mean blueprints and everything.

So you admit you're wrong then?

Wonder why they're so slow to toss out the reservoir tip. Was the first piece removed, wasn't it?

The hat would've needed a lightning protection system, it is Florida after all. I suspect the tip may be copper and it's worth a lot more than all the rest of the scrap put together.

On a side note, did you guys see all the fire sprinklers inside that sucker?

I also wonder.. how tall is the DHS one?
The paris one seems more visible in every way...
Well I have seen both but I have to confess that it is a bit difficult to evaluate the one from Orlando since it is far away. But I think the one from Orlando is bigger than the one from Paris. But the one in Paris is more in the spotlight.

It is indeed, but still backstage. Between studio one and Cinemagique.

At WDSP it acts as a good icon due to being visible from in the park, the gate, approaching the gate and from the hub. It also has some good sightlines.
Yes one can consider backstage since you can't reach it. But I agree that it acts better as an icon.

But this works both ways. The op often posts things that appear to be "inside information", so when he posted that things would speed up on the demolition I assumed that he had some inside info on the project and knew that something was going to change in how the demolition was being executed. To me it didn't seem that anything changed and that the pace of demolition was the same before and after that statement was made. If people don't want their opinions questioned, they shouldn't post them on the internet.
