Update!

I'm thinking of changing the Fantasy Hills area into Radiator Springs, while the Fantasy Hills land concept could be used for Magic Kingdom. For the proposed Cars land, I'm thinking of keeping it similar to DCA's version, but it would be smaller. The land would feature a Radiator Springs Racers attraction, but probably a different story and track to go along with it, the Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters flat ride would be brought over here, and maybe a autopia type attraction following Mater going along route 66.

  • Mater's Route 66 Roadtrip
  • Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters
  • Radiator Springs: Geyser Racer
Thoughts?

That sounds like a great idea. I think Radiator Springs fits perfectly in Hollywood Studios. Especially if you are going to keep 50's Prime Time.

Very interesting. Me personally I always found putting Disney's animated properties in Hollywood Studios as strange choice since I think they would work better in Magic Kingdom. Radiator Springs is a very good pick for a new land since you both have the space and already have a land to work off of. For some info that could help you in your plan is that in the original cars land (the one not themed to the actual movie) there was a ride where you would drive past tourist attractions and the finale would be driving through rainbow caverns. Something similar could be done as another kids attraction that would both be interesting and pays tribute to the previous version of Cars Land.

Another thing I would suggest is that a problem that Hollywood Studios has now is that there is not enough shade. You have definitely fixed the problems in many places in the park but perhaps a glass canopy with glass art on the roof could be added to Hollywood Boulevard. This would provide shade and protection from rain to many park guests and I personally think that would be a very cool idea.

Another possible thing you could add would be a hotel. I don't know where you could add one but Hollywood Studios is the only park that doesn't have direct access to a hotel. There was a proposed hotel that would be added to the east of the park and would be themed to, well, Hollywood. Just a suggestion but it would probably add quite a bit of value to the park as a whole.

Also do you have any ideas of parades, nighttime shows, or any other guest experiences?

I was planning for the Mater ride to resemble the cancelled ride for the original cars land. I'm hoping that it would look a lot better than whatever the Cars road trip ride is at Walt Disney Stu- I mean Adventure World at Paris.

I do like the idea of a glass canopy for Hollywood BLVD, similar to the canopy over Tokyo Disney's Main Street. Maybe even some sort of nighttime show could be projected onto the glass canopy as well.

I have a couple of ideas for hotels, I think the employee parking lot could act as a good space for a potential hotel location with probably a multi-level car park to be built for the employee's. For the ideas, since it's next to Galaxy's Edge maybe a new Star Wars hotel could be added. Now it's just fictional and the hotel would be re-branded to more of an experience than a hotel. The hotel or Cruise liner would be given more attractions and activities to do on this new version. Maybe it could even be themed to Bespin, and a simulator ride based off of the Twin Cloud Cars could be added. Another idea would be well a, Golden Age Hollywood hotel, themed to the classic 1920s era of film. For probably an out-landish and out there idea would be a Monsters Inc. hotel, with different doors leading to different themed rooms. With a hidden bar themed to Randall's secret hideout in the first movie. Now either the hotel would need a tram station to link it to the park's entrance for easy access to the park, or a direct pathway to Galaxy's Edge if it was Star Wars themed.

For the ideas of parades and guest experiences do you mean in general or just for DHS?

Really just for DHS. I do like your ideas for hotels but yeah, the Monsters Inc. one does seem a bit out there.

This is one of the best build outs I’ve seen for Hollywood studios ever! I personally think you should stick with fantasy hills but cars sounds cool too!
