Love it!
Now if they would just orientate the park maps properly......having them like that seriously plays with my head.
I would hope the budget for the overall redo of the park could include a more permanent stage like the one in front of Cinderella Castle.Who says it'll be the porta stage and canopy of old?
Did you read the thread? Hat is closed as of 1/7
That would be a beautiful site to behold.
I don't know for sure, but, I cannot imagine that they would rush to take the stage out when the whole thing is scheduled to take a hike in just a few days. So, I'm pretty sure the stage will still be there.Does anyone know if there is currently a stage in front of the hat from NYE? Was thinking of heading over this weekend to grab some final photographs of BAH but if the stage is there I won't nother.

Here you go:Does anyone know if there is currently a stage in front of the hat from NYE? Was thinking of heading over this weekend to grab some final photographs of BAH but if the stage is there I won't bother .
The Icon Stage will be stuck Jan 3-4 after park close.
I'm not doubting him, I'm just one of those people who like to read the background of said early leaks and stuff. You don't have to ask Marni for a source. He has forgotten more about Disney then any of us will ever know. If he says it, you can trust it. That's not to preclude that Disney might not change their tiny little minds about plans, but, that's true with anything in life. This one I think is a safe bet.
You can't close a giant hat. It's either there or it isn't.
Keep this idiot out of power at WDW. ThemeParkReview's endorsement of terrible WDW decisions is part of the reason little has changed and improved at the secondary parks.
Unfortunately, the ignorant in this case has a (poorly designed) website with a lot of minions not questioning the leader. They're blindly and foolishly reinforcing to WDW management that they're doing things correctly.Ignorance is bliss... but only for the ignorant.
Maybe the structure that holds the entire thing is very deep in the floor? thus needing heavy equipment to remove the base and then repair the floor?Hey a girl can hope. Honestly though, that hat is such a simple structure I just don't see why it should take any longer than a day or two to take down. Again I'm just saying the hat itself. I know the walls will be up for probably a month while they remove the floor, cabling, etc. and fix the concrete. Heck they'll probably add walls to replace all the concrete in the hub to make sure it matches (or something equally silly).
now imagine indiana jones escaping from the explosion in a super spectacular show. Those park goers are pretty nonchalant about that explosion.
