Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

My question: Time frame of removal? I'm not on either side of the fence, never seen it, won't miss it, never really been a fan of it neither. But will it be gone, or more fences for me to walk around at the end of February?
Even if they knew, I'm sure it's not cast in stone. They will not publish an exact end date. My advice ... When you don't see it anymore, stop looking for it! ;)

My gut says that being an incredibly simple structure, the hat itself will be gone within a day or two. Walls will still have to stay up though until they get all the stuff that's run through the ground cleaned up and the pavement repaired. We'll be at DHS on the 22nd. I'm expecting to see the boulevard restored to it's beautiful view of the theater by the time we arrive. LOL! :D

If you are talking about the 22nd of January... good luck with that. Your LOL is absolutely correct. :joyfull:

I'm sad to see the Hat get demolished. I think that they should just move it to another part of WDW. That way, it won't block the Chinese Theatre but it can still be enjoyed. The Hat is just misplaced, IMO.

Like a "Plant out of place is a weed?" Got to agree with you on that one, it is out of place and like a weed it should be destroyed lest it grow and multiply. :D:p:)

Knowing Disney it will take 3 times longer then it should reasonably take. ;)
Yep, sounds about right!

But like @danlb_2000 said, it IS Disney we're talking about.
Want it gone quickly? A few rambunctious, over sugared twelve year-olds from the MK could rip that thing down in an hour. Just tell them they're making more room for "Frozen" crap.
Sorry, from the way u said it in ur post it sounded like u wanted fences
Oh no, LoL, no fences! They'll be enough everywhere else, it'd be nice to see a park without them. For a minute.

I know Disney normally takes along time but I think this may be gone for mid February

Hey a girl can hope. Honestly though, that hat is such a simple structure I just don't see why it should take any longer than a day or two to take down. Again I'm just saying the hat itself. I know the walls will be up for probably a month while they remove the floor, cabling, etc. and fix the concrete. Heck they'll probably add walls to replace all the concrete in the hub to make sure it matches (or something equally silly). :D

And then we'll need walls to hide the walls from view...

There is still an active park surrounding the structure. You have to be mindful of the public.

I would guess it depends on whether they plan to re-install it elsewhere.

If not, smashing and crashing it down shouldn't take long. If they want
to carefully disassemble to place elsewhere, that's a different matter.
