Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

I think the BAH would have been better liked if it had been larger. It is only 122' tall, doesn't fully block the Chinese theater and the base is so small that the pin shop is tiny and doesn't have a big selection. It also serves as a pin trading station and there's not much room for that activity either. Of course pin trading has gone out of style for many folks so there is less of a need for the BAH.

Had they made the BAH twice as large (about 240' tall) they could have put a permanent attraction under the hat (such as One Man's Dream) and kept it in front of the Great Movie Ride. They could eliminate the fireworks and instead have spotlights and laser light shows using the pinnacle of the BAH. The top of the BAH could be segmented so that a large telescopic rod could emerge from the top with all manner of laser projections. We'll just have to wait until they get up to speed.
They should rebuild it, 400 feet tall. I wanna see that thing from Hogwarts!

The original plans for the BAH had it outside of the park, much larger, with OMD under it, and ferris wheels in the ears.

I agree, that would have been better.

Outside of the park.

Clearly this is sarcasm.

But, then how would they have gotten our money with the ferris wheels being outside the park? A reasonable compromise would have been to have a pin store inside but the hat outside. Regardless of where it was built, though, we would want it gone by now. Like the London Eye.

OMD was under the hat at first, or a variation of it. I know they had kiosks with stuff about Walt Disney and not pins.
Wouldn't that be cool if they decided to demolish the old BAH and replace it with a bigger BAH on the same spot? They could move OMD to the new BAH and use the old OMD to expand Pixar Place. Having OMD in the center of the park would be very appropriate.

Could be that they considered moving the entry gates like they did with DCA.

That's pretty cool. What was the reason for the 100 under the hat?

Sorry if this was already posted, but they're taking a cast member photo in front of the hat on the 16th of Dec before the hat is demolished. Have no idea if that indicates the demo date is relatively soon or if they want the photo before people leave for the holidays, but just a heads up.

Probably so all the College Program kids can be in it before they head out.
