Is the clock ticking on the Sorcerer Mickey Hat icon at the Studios? YES!

Oh my goodness. Why do we care about the exact date that a cosmetic feature is being demolished. If you go to WDW in 2015, 3 out of 4 parks will have large, visible construction projects going on that may affect some of your pictures. The fourth will have beer. Fair enough?
uhhhh the 5th of jan is my bday and i been waiting for this so ya.... thats why

Don't take it personally, we usually take inside information with a grain of salt. Even people who have provided accurate inside information in the past sometime get it wrong.
thats usually because disney changes there mind type things... but I completely get you and what you are saying... I just don't really like people being rude or saying oh your completely false to me... id never take word from just anyone and post it like some people do...

Well you have to admit people are somewhat justified in calling someone out on these rumors, two people have posted different rumored dates here so at least on of you has to be wrong.

Yes, that why I said "at least" one. :)

In the immortal words of Dire Straits: "Two men say they're Jesus one of them must be wrong"

I posted back in the third week of November my son being told January 10th. I honestly can't remember if he said the 10th being the last day or first day of closure. But like with any refurbishment date it is usually open to be swishy, we see it throughout the year when multiple refurbishments are put off.

Heck the imagination CMs were notified over a year ago that Imagination Pavilion was going down the first week of January 2014 and that still hasn't happened. I've seen too many target dates missed by Disney even though the dates posted here were accurate at that time.

Because it's cluttered up DHS for over 10 years and most of it can't wait for it to be gone.

You're here, too, buddy. Don't make things worse. People want something that's plagued the resort for over 10 years removed. You can't blame people for being happy and anxious to see it gone. :)
I think the BAH would have been better liked if it had been larger. It is only 122' tall, doesn't fully block the Chinese theater and the base is so small that the pin shop is tiny and doesn't have a big selection. It also serves as a pin trading station and there's not much room for that activity either. Of course pin trading has gone out of style for many folks so there is less of a need for the BAH.

Had they made the BAH twice as large (about 240' tall) they could have put a permanent attraction under the hat (such as One Man's Dream) and kept it in front of the Great Movie Ride. They could eliminate the fireworks and instead have spotlights and laser light shows using the pinnacle of the BAH. The top of the BAH could be segmented so that a large telescopic rod could emerge from the top with all manner of laser projections. We'll just have to wait until they get up to speed.
