Well, they could use Gru's Shrink-Ray on it

Or a short immersion in some cold water. . . ?

I like it. I would except a retheme of Buzz to Hero's Duty...
That's not a bad idea, but I would only really want it if it would be more than just a layover of the current ride. There would need to be something unique about it imo. The guns would definitely need to be free to hold as well. There's already TSMM so getting rid of another (inferior) TS shooter isn't a loss at all.

Hero's Duty would be a tough attraction to properly advertise though. It would have to be called "Wreck-it Ralph: Hero's Duty" or something. Wreck-it Ralph did fairly well, but not many would get/remember Hero's Duty from the movie. The movie name would need to be in the attraction title.

It's cool...but what is the theme of the park at that point? Is it 1930's Hollywood still? Or is old Hollywood now just a land? Then you could have a Pixar Land and Star Wars land, sort of how the MK has the separate and distinct lands? And what is the name of this new park?

You can get away with that if you make it "an adventure through the movies." The front half/third of the park being the Hollywood of the golden age and the rest of the park being immersive lands dedicated to those movies. Remove the "set" idea. In that vein, you can name it something like Disney's Movie Kingdom or Disney's Hollywood Adventure or something cliche like that and get away with it.

True. The concept could also be similar to the movie. You're jumping game to game because the bugs got lose and only you can stop it.
