Is the clock ticking on the Leave a Legacy monoliths at Epcot?

We knew it was coming. We bought into the Legacy program and always looked for our photos when we arrived at EP. It pleases me that the photos will at least be displayed somewhere else. I always thought at least they should have consolidated the photos to fill up the stones that were there and the empty stones should have been removed long ago.

I remember when they started the "Leave a Legacy" program, we didn't get one because it was not available with 4 people in one photo.
We have a Brick in the walkway of MK, has been there from 94, a little worn but still there after 25 years.

You could be right, but, tell me why they wouldn't make the wall out of the granite slabs that the monoliths are made from. You know those are not solid granite "gravestones" for sure. I've seen the seams on the corners of them. But, if they want to use a different wall, it matters not to me. It's just speculation. If they are solid, which would make no sense at all, then they will have to find a way to remove every single etching off them to move them and since some of them have been on there for quite a few years, I certainly wouldn't want to be the one assigned to remove them without any damage.

Yeah, sounds like the pictures will go on a wall outside the gates, and the picture removal process from the monoliths may have already begun.

Not sure why this is difficult to understand. They remove the pictures, destroy the giant monoliths, and place them on a wall somewhere outside the gate, maybe something to look at while you are waiting an hour in the security line...

Sure, that is one way to do that, but, since those are not huge solid chunks of granite, but, are flat sheets of granite they can be removed from the metal structure that is forming the monolith and move those slabs, in tact, to wherever they want to display them as a wall of pictures. Those are thousands of dollars worth of granite sheets, why in the hell would anyone want to just destroy them, when all they have to do is move the ones that have pictures on them. I don't remember how many of those have had nothing on them since they were put up there. They have wall material right there already in the form of the granite, why remove the pictures. Prop the granite sheets up like a wall and display them outside the park. Then either save for a different use or sell the rest of them. Why is that so difficult to understand?
