Splash is looking good, I just noticed every time I ride it an inconsistency with the laughing place water scene, some times its all working other times various effects aren't on.

Everyone was saying ow rough it looked in 2011, but when i went i really didn't notice any major problems with in. It all looked in working order and was fun.

In the nicest way, i think sometimes us lot that go a lot set our standards high and start looking at detail instead of actually forgetting all that and enjoying the ride. :p

But WDW used to be all about the detail.

And the company thinking like that is how standards slipped.
Calm down! I'm not saying the company should ignore that stuff! I'm saying does the fact that 1 animated rabbit not working have to ruin the ride for you!? No! It's ridiculous. People are very lucky to go to these places and get so hung up on the negative!

Disney should absolutely try to avoid these mistakes, but it happens and they can't have refurbs every other day for things that have gone slightly wrong. Calm down and enjoy your holiday.

I think you are mistaking the few that trying to hold Disney to their own high standard with actually having their vacations ruined.

They are on a mission to make Disney do better for ALL of us.

No, i understand that, but Disney are aware of this stuff, hence constant rehabs. Not that i will support them with the damn Yeti, since that has never worked, but still..

I know Disney had way more then enough money to keep the parks at least at they're best. Also... they shouldn't keep blowing off broken attractions and making all these new ones, they should worry about the repairs first. All they need is someone who really is inspired by Walt Disney, loves to continue his work at park standards and isn't in it for the money. I know if I were in charge I would live on property and be in the parks all the time working on new ideas, fixing the old and trying to get to know the employees making it all happen. And all the blood sucking weasels will be looking for a job with Universal Studios.

Bumping this to see whether anyone else has ridden lately to see how it has held up since the refurb. Yert's comment above is worrisome.

Some things are working better than when they did when it opened, but some things that were working good are either broken or turned off. Br'er Bear with the bee hive is an example
@ 5:12
But Br'er Fox holding Br'er Rabbit looks great @ 6:15. It looks way better than it did when the refurb was done.

I was on yesterday and it was great!! I'd go as far as saying my favourite ride to date on it.Only one thing wasn't working that I saw and that was one of the turtles in the laughing place. Other than that, everything looked incredible.

6/28 Br'er Bear with bee hive moving again after being motionless for weeks, but the Br'er Fox AA holding Br'er Rabbit right before the final drop was completely off.

The last time I rode it was last weekend on June 29th. We rode it three times that day. Even though I was mainly looking for hidden mickeys (I found one! :)), I noticed everything that was spruced up that I had never seen/heard before, and it really felt like a proper refurb.

The audio everywhere was awesome and sounded loud and clear. I even heard the FSU badger that pops up in the laughing place for the first time. The shadow animations of Brer Frog in line and Brer Fox right before the big drop were working. Also, the water looked clean, the jumping Brer Rabbit was working, and the AA's in the riverboat scene were all working.

Splash is looking good, I just noticed every time I ride it an inconsistency with the laughing place water scene, some times its all working other times various effects aren't on.

I also noticed this during the very last ride we rode, which was like 5 minutes before the park closed. The jumping water was working all day, but they didn't work during our last ride. I remember that the ride was closed for a little bit due to technical issues after closing due to lightning in the area. I hope the jumping water is working again...
