Oh, so the possible (and unnecessary) Fox acquisition might affect the Stitch ride?
What's going to replace it now?
Shirley Temple?

Now that alcohol has been slowly wedged into MK and the Fox deal is going through, my guess would be on Futurama, specifically Bender. Had we been reviewing a Small World re-skinning, I would have guessed Frye & the Slurm Factory. ;-)

I'm right here with you. I agree. Pandora surprised me. I know people like to complain about it but it fits better than some want to admit. Do I have my quibbles? Sure. But I think they did it well.
Slightly off topic, but that's the one thing that gives me hope on GotG in Epcot - from my understanding, Rhode is on the project.

I've been aware that Rohde has been publicly saying it's going to be fixed for at least the past four years. Others may know of him saying so even further back.

So... sorry to drop your hope in a blender.

What, the Yeti? Different situation. Fixing the Yeti is likely purely a budgetary issue, which is probably outside of Rhode's hands. What I am talking about is placesetting and story telling, which Rhode is exceptionally good at.

Hi everyone I’m new to the fourm. I really don’t like the idea of Indy being in animal kingdom but I love the idea of Indy being in Hollywood studios!

Welcome! I too think that Indy would be done justice in DHS but DAK is also good, but it can only explore man's relationship wuth beast, anything else and it doesn't work. It has to respect that Indy is an archeologist and not a paleontologist/biologist of any kind, while also respecting that DAK at its core is about nature.

What is it? If it is the Yeti then that isn't really related. He's saying Rohde is exceptional at his job which is making Disney a magical place, which he is most certainly exceptional at. The Yeti is broken because he hasn't the ability to fix it. He would if he could, I'm sure. And one day it may very well be fixed because of him :)

Thanks Blake I’m verve happy to be on the forums.

This seems like a good enough place as any for a random question...

@marni1971, do you know the details on the RoboCoaster exclusivity for Universal, was it 10 years from the Forbidden Journey Installation? Is there any interest in the halls of WDI or even Uni creative to reuse it?

I found a very old thread where you and Steve were discussing back and forth that WDI passed it up due to worries about reliability... but it seems like it's been quite reliable (and high capacity) for Universal all these years.

Just seems like too good of an installation to literally be a one-off. Seeing as they are kicking the tires on a lot of projects these days.

Good question. To be honest I don’t know (or forgot) where the exclusivity is up to now. It is an amazing and versatile ride system with so much potential but I don’t know if something the scale of FJ could be brought in for anywhere near the cost of the IOA original by Uni let alone Disney.

It is a tremendously complex ride system that does have a lot of issues still, but the sheer amount of arms available keeps capacity high unless it’s a total ride down. There’s also so much redundancy, clever diagnostic and ease of RV removal without ride stopping that usually the normal guest wouldn’t know (aside from a gap in the benches at load when at peak).

When in FJ Tower, watching the ride-wide CCTV coverage is like watching a beautiful, mesmerising ballet. It’s truly a technical marvel.
