AP and/or disney visa is 10%off, every little bit helps
This sums it up exactly! The only times that we went to Chef Mickey's was when our kids were little because they liked it. But we always came away not liking any of the food. I love Boma and that is the only sit down restaurant that I have to go to every trip. No, it is not close to as good as Boma.
Boma is very good food and no characters.
Chef Mickey's is mediocre food with characters.
Tusker House is the hybrid of the two.
No. It is loud, crowded with really bad food. The characters move through so quickly you will miss them if you go to the buffet. Only worse buffet is Hollywood and Vine. Tusker House is so much better for characters and for food Boma.I was wondering if Chef Mickeys was worth the price?
Is anything in WDW worth the $$$. I will answer that. No.Not worth the $$$.
This is the way my family feels. We go for the grandkids to have a meet and greet with the Fab 5 and avoid the long meet n greets. The food is below average and certainly not worth the price. The issue is what price do you put on not using time in the parks waiting in lines for the characters? If you're looking to meet the fab 5 without waiting at meet n greets then its worth it but as far as the food choices and quality its not really worth the price.
I'd much rather choose somewhere like Garden Grill. Food is better IMO, relaxed quiet atmosphere, all you care to eat but you also don't have to get up, more unique characters experiences, plus it rotates.
I can't think of any compelling reason to eat at Chef Mickey's when Tusker House exists, except maybe if you're staying at the Contemporary. If your children are of a certain age (5 to 10?) it is truly a magical dining experience. After that point it's time to move on. Way too pricy for the quality of food you get. Same applies to Crystal Palace.
I was wondering if Chef Mickeys was worth the price?
