If Avatar Land is any good... and Cameron has the same reputation as Rowlings and Lucas in insisting on top quality... it will draw people world wide.

George Lucas insisting on top quality?

I don't think Avatar is a Potter killer, BUT I don't think Universal is a Disney killer either!
Universal's plan is not to be the Disney Killer, their plan is to be an amazing theme park, with exciting and new rides and attractions, full of wonder and magic. THAT will be the Disney killer if TDO do not get their head straight and start investing and making WDW the amazing place that it once was.

Yeah. I don't hear anyone humming the theme to Potter, but you can bet your tushy people know and love the Star Wars music.
To each their own, I have NO idea who's who in Star Wars and I always think its music is the intro to the old Superman movies.

Well, now that's a fair cop, as it were, because both were scored by John Williams, and there are some similarities. The way to distinguish them is that you can sing the words "Star Wars" in the Star Wars theme and "Superman" in the Superman theme. I'll demonstrate as best I can via a written medium.

Star Wars Theme
Star Wars, ba-ba-bah, Star Wars, ba-ba-bah, Star Wars, ba-ba-ba-BAAAH.

Superman Theme
Da-dah-dah-dun-dun, Su-Per-Man, da-dah-dah-dun-dun, SUPERMAN!

I have Star Wars as my ring tone but sometimes find myself singing "Hoopla....Hyperspace Hoopla....." :D

I have Hedwig's Theme as my morning alarm. :geek:

God bless the "Ignore" button.
I can't. I honestly can't name any characters other than Harry Potter. I'm not bashing it. It just doesn't appeal to me. Maybe because I didn't grow up with it.
Well that makes sense. I'm sure some
people say the same about Star Wars.
I'm sure MOST people could say that about Avatar. :D
Let's see, there's Jake Sully, geeky guy, blue girl, machine army guy, and... Sigourney Weaver.

Why is this thread about the upcoming new areas of UNI and WDW moved to chit chat?

Especially when every 'UNI is Beating WDW' thread is left untouched? (ho-hum, for example, the current 'UNI Swatting WDW #1846362' , or the also current 'UNI Swatting WDW #1846363)

Do I sense some groupthink, where every billion posts and threads stating that 'UNI is kicking WDW's rear' are considered a sign of great insight, and every 'WDW is still better than UNI' reaction is met with great hostility and insults?

Surely it is perfectly obvious what, exactly, it is that Jimmy is rallying against? That his posts are of a reactive nature, against what he perceives as a somewhat runaway communal fawning over UNI? That he is challenging, and countering, popular notion and conventional wisdom?

Ehh no his posts are designed to be argumentative given his tendency to announce them and his motivation in other areas of the site. At best this could be classed as discussion, except its not is it. Your own use of emotive language indicates that positions are fairly well entrenched and serve little more than an opportunity to throw the same opinions back and forth.
Thicks bawbaggery is neither challenging or based in wisdom. Its designed to cause arguments.
