Ironic considering it’s a bigger piece of the pie each year.

But Wall Street doesn’t trade based on numbers anymore…it’s the spin and who buys it?
Well it’s only in the last few years that it overtook the traditional linear TV revenue/profit stream. Linear Media’s death hit another gear the last few years so that coupled with growing a streaming business and the declines at the box office have been more the concern.

While the parks are certainly a steady revenue generator, their media sector will still have the wider reach and more opportunities for growth.

So they say…Netflix has been trying to turn the corner for close to 20
Years

What’s probably needed is another new technology as a delivery platform…stream
Is just internet tv…it hasn’t really changed the engagement much since digital came

Did everyone catch this story?? $54 for breakfast before tax and gratuity?? WOW!!! https://www.wdwmagic.com/dining/190...aZZr094V16P7ElZH6rsVeK2HIqaAfZ80e0Hf-93GdgFio
Pre-pandemic it was $45, so went up $9 so 20%. I don't know about others, but my groceries have gone up almost that much.

I'll be honest, I always thought they were overpriced, but I can't eat enough to justify an expensive buffet, and my family has never been a big fan of "characters" so we rarely did a buffet; less than 6 over about 40 years.

Breakfast buffets are the only ones worth it to me -- mainly because I love breakfast foods and it's nice to be able to get a little of everything instead of having to settle on a couple of things.

Not character breakfasts, though. I don't care about characters so I'm not paying a premium just to see them; the premium is arguably worth it (still isn't actually worth what they charge) somewhere like Cinderella's Royal Table (which would actually feel like a better value if it was a buffet because you don't get much food there), but that's because of the unique setting rather than the characters. 1900 Park Fare definitely does not have setting going for it.

Probably those not wanting to pay the high prices and go through the stress of a Disney vacation with little new offerings and a lot being removed over the last few years

Let’s not forget inflation and most salaries not keeping up with it, so many choose to take a year off or do a less expensive trip elsewhere
But haven’t you heard?

People are AHEAD now…

Some free money checks and a $2-3 an hour raise for frontline service workers 4 years ago goes along way…really cuts in to the housing costs up 30-40% and a lot of consumables up 100%+ and in most cases a minimum 50%

…somebody is ahead…Chase Manhattan, Bank of America and discover 😎

Rumor has it Taylor Swift is gonna be announcing some surprise US concerts ;)
The price of of a one day park ticket to MK is dirt cheap compared to the hundreds sometimes thousands of dollars that Swiftys ( or mom and dad ) will pay to see their idol for a 3 hour concert. Travis BTW goes for free.

Are we really comparing Disney park tickets to Taylor Swift concerts? Those are events, in a certain location, only at that time, that sell out, whereas the parks are always in the same spot and open to anyone most every day.

Maybe she will consider Swifty+ and Individual Swifty Lanes to enable fans to skip standby lines for bathrooms and concessions. A Swiftpass if you will

One is a 3 hour show that can cost a few thousand each ticket for top ticket , MK for 9-12 hours is about $100 and change.
