Amazon prime has their own collection of original shows and movies. It's not just rentals and purchases.
I know, but they do have a large number of rentals and purchases, which is the model I think Disney will eventually have to go to. Some free (with subscription) content + extra paid content. I do think they will need to price a bit lower than Amazon though. Amazon charges too much for impulse purchases, to my mind, where you say “Oh, what the heck, what’s a few dollars?” (but end up doing that several times which adds up to more than a few dollars.) Amazon prices are usually enough to deter me from buying their stuff.

Wait times look pretty crazy. Parks seem dead. We may go to HS later (I don't think they have fireworks right?) Weather is good in Orlando too but it has been very very hot so I wonder if that deters locals. There is a severe weather heat advisory until 7pm and in all my life I don't see those very often on my weather app here. Feels like is currently 107°

I am confused by those advisories. We usually go in August...high 90s, dewpoint around 80...that's just a normal day. What's different right now causing these advisories?

Back to yesterdays thought - Was "Sold Out" really "Sold Out"?

What would the analysts think if WDW was not Sold Out on July 4 under the reservation regime?

Years past had 4 levels of phased closings. This year, "sold out" happens 24 hours before (but you can get in after 2:00 if you park hop)
That will tell, if the waits extend now then it was reservations keeping it slow. We will see if they left enough room

In the Parks
No
It’s almost an hour after AP’s and hoppers are allowed in and some headliner waits are LOWER than they were this morning for some rides

BTMRR - 25 minutes
POTC - 40
JC - 40

Some are slightly up from the last time I checked this morning:

SM - 65
Buzz - 45
SDMT - 80

Some are about the same:

PPF - 70
IASW - 35
Pooh - 35
Little Mermaid - 35

This is WITH mansion down currently, which as we all know is a huge people eater.

Wait times at HWS and DAK are crazy.

ToT is showing as 13 minutes. I'm not sure I've ever seen that actually posted at ToT before..

MMRR is at 10.

TSM 15.

Maybe they closed reservations at MK to try and push people into the other parks, because reservations for HWS and DAK were so bad. Not because MK was anything like close to capacity?

I know people want to see the fireworks. But, it should be busy in all the parks today.
