Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

Aren't resort quick services/food courts open until 11:00 or midnight?
GF's used to be open 24 hours/day.

Huh, I just checked a few, and the ones I checked are currently open until 11pm.

I could have sworn some closed at 10pm earlier this year (or maybe last year?), because I opted to get carry out from Miller's Ale House when trying to find food around 10:30pm.

(Miller's isn't stellar, but it is decent for late-night pub-style food.)

They stop selling hot food at 11PM and close at Midnight. Same with the Poly.

Everywhere else its 10 or 11PM.

Boardwalk Pizza closes at Midnight also.

Basically on property if you want something after midnight, your only real options are the Speedway stations, the McDonalds, or a vending machine.

That was my personal recollection, too.

I would think there is demand for late night food that isn't being met.

I never understood this. You get back from the parks. Its late and your freaking starving.

I’m lucky that my room always has a fridge and oven and we throw in a frozen pizza or something.

Still it’s annoying, I can’t be the only one hungry past 11pm.

I just want the mug stations open later, if not 24/7.

They’ve done a really bad job post covid aligning the resort quick service hours with park hours, both opening and closing.
There is zero reason the soft drink stations could not be open 24x7. And resort food courts should have at least one bay open until at least midnight, in the case of values and moderates, and have their one quick serve location open at deluxes (Roaring Fork, as an example) open the same.

When we stay in the resorts we notice bare minimal staffing at night ( ie Security , Front Desk ). If drink stations open 24/7 that would mean more cast have to be working to service fix replenish, clean drink locations. Disney is saving bucks by not having more cast working overnights.

Well yes and no.

I am inclined to think WDW has enough customers that a WDW late night delivery service offering pizza, warm cookies, and a few other munchies would do quite well.

MK used to regularly stay open until midnight and later. I am inclined to think people are willing to stay out late...except that G+ has somewhat crippled the appeal of staying late.

Under G+, there is a strong incentive to be awake at 7am. If I'm awake at 7am, then I might as well get to the park by 9am. That wasn't the case in the past. So while Disney is partly saving money, they are also hurting their business by not offering late night options. (parks and food)

This is part of what I dislike about the G+ era. It somewhat forces me to be a morning person, and to tour the parks with all the morning people.

My suspicion is that they’ve found the scheduled extra evening hours sate most guests’ desire for a couple of late nights at the more popular parks while increasing the value prop of the deluxe resorts and reducing the labor needed to staff everything.

At night to us is complete exhaustion spending all day in parks / Springs. A relaxing shower then off to bed for a few hours and rinse and repeat the next morning. If WDW would see substantial demand, not just a few with munchies , to justify being open late night in all resorts , they may offer.

At night the overnight crews deep clean the resorts when ops are shut down . Little challenging if some ops are still open.

It’s frustrating that food and drink between approximately 10 pm and 7 am give or take an hour is so hard to come by at these resorts likely as a product of what they consider too low demand, when these aren’t regular hotels. They have a much higher proportion of people who don’t have their own transportation and also who have no intention of patronizing any outside vendors for anything. I take issue with the fact that they can’t keep drink machines and a fridge with some basic food choices open just for something given the way they encourage people to be ‘trapped’.

As far as the drink stations, leave one open for half the night and clean the other, then switch, turn on the clean one and take the other one out of service and deep clean that. Where there is a will.....
A grab and go location shouldnt be that hard to add into any of the resorts. Keeping stock in it might be a bit more of a challenge though. Marie

We don't sleep much at WDW. :)

And when we do, it is sometimes an afternoon nap.

I'm not trying to brag, but we used to always make late night park hours plus mostly make mornings.

(I actually tend to wake up early at WDW, but I used to enjoy my coffee in the quiet morning air watching the sunrise for a bit.)

My point is we regularly saw both early morning and late night crowds, and plenty of people would have out until midnight of later.

That changed a bit when WDW went to 3 pre-booked FP+. When people's FP ran out, they often left the park. For a time, parkgoers could only get 3. So late night crowds were not as robust.

People say the parks re more crowded - or were in 2019- but I think that is only part of the picture. G+ has also coerced (more) parkgoers to be in the parks 9am -3pm, where before many were happy to visit 11am - 2am. there was always a mid-day overlap, but it is worse now.

Well thanks for thinking I’m young, you made my day!!

( You have me scared now what’s gonna happen? )

😱😱😱😱
Well we are early part of the day folks my wife and I. Sleeping in is anything after 6am. We use to do ropedrop till closing and then some for a week or more 30 years ago. Now unless we are doing Fantasmic or Fireworks we'll be hitting better dining outside the park somewhere like BlueZoo or Topolinos or relaxing at Evergreens at Shades with a few pitchers of Schofferhoffer
