…travel agent?!?
I’ll do it for you for poops and grins 👍🏻

Hahah well she doesn’t charge anything and at 7AM (6 her time)I had an email with two different reservation holds as options with the promo and she’s working the phones to try and get the offer applied to my current reservation instead of us moving so I’d say she does okay.

I have felt her pain before, if the Disney travel agent website actually worked half the time they wouldn’t need to call and be on hold half the day.

…but ya know Disney, “progress”

All that stuff is standard…not wizardry

I wouldn’t stress it…the whole point here is they can’t get people to book. They outkicked their coverage

Oh 100%, I was more just saying she's responsive and super helpful, and in a world lacking customer service I appreciate her being on top of things - but when I can add a day of park tickets and a night in a 1 bedroom villa and SAVE $300+, I'm gonna take advantage of their poor kick coverage.

Yep - 100%. Although they're testing the waters very slowly with this new offer. Plenty of availability across the entire resort but not all of it by a long shot is loaded into this offer, and even what is isn't always at the fully advertised up to discount. Normally in the past deluxe rooms were always at the top range, but some of these even when the offer is up to 35% are checking in at 25% or 30% even with the D+ offer.

Just saw some discounts released for annual passholders up to 40% off. I know that’s only on select dates at select resorts but I don’t recall seeing a 40% before but I may be mistaken

Did a quick search and they were doing it for APs the fall of 2020. Obviously that was trying to get people back while COVID restrictions in place so a bit of a caveat, but they have done it before

But to do this, and even the 35% for D+ subscribers, during the holidays is quite telling

If they can't get people to come for the holidays, I can't see how this DHS after hours is going to sell well.

What I also noticed yesterday was the appalling lack of basic maintenance, at least at Hollywood Studios. Chipping paint on the rails at TSL. At Woodys Lunchbox, the cashier stand with themed paint and decals looked so bad like it was built 15 years ago, not 4. Slinky Dog’s track was faded and showing empty paint spots. Stained carpets in Mickey’s Railway queue. I could go on

The Disney Difference

A year ago, Universal was looking pretty bad in some areas and Disney was making them look silly... now with all the refurb at the parks being completed they've switched places.
