Varies based on popularitySo can we assume all posted wait times are inflated by 45 minutes or does this differ for different attractions?

I was there Thanksgiving week and it was bad… i posted a pic of Space Mountain. Posted wait time was 80 minutes i believe. The line was shorter than the Genie line… basically a walk on. Granted that was absurd but it was the worst ive ever seen with the posted wait times vs what realistically they wereThis happened @Sirwalterraleigh ?
There is no logic as to why the posted wait time at the start the day would be 80 min.I was there Thanksgiving week and it was bad… i posted a pic of Space Mountain. Disney has kinda broken the trip planning process for me as there are random "pockets" in the day where waits drop & ride dramatically. There is no logic as to why the posted wait time at the start the day would be 80 min.
Are they posting random numbers at the start of the day or are the times left over from the previous evening?
Right…when it’s impossible in this universe to actually be in the lineThe posted wait at Slinky Dog was 45 minutes at park opening on 2023-12-31.
No sorry. Let me clarify. This was at nightThere is no logic as to why the posted wait time at the start the day would be 80 min.

Just like the back of your ticket to the baseball game. The team, player, MLB are not responsible if you get smacked with a ball or other flying object. And the fine print on your cable bill, internet bill, phone bill, etc. All sorts of legal mumbo jumbo out there.Oh you mean the terms and conditions no one reads?
That was NOT intentional…I assure youjust because I want to complain. I went to the Xmas party and the posted wait time was 10min for space mountain. the real wait was 45. Let’s just say I was annoyed
Yeah. I’m pretty sure it was a break down. Which is an entirely different issue. Over two days, I had 7 rides break down. Navi River Journey the animatronic just stopped moving right as I was about to pass it, dinosaur broke down when I was in line, got escorted off test track, spaceship earth stopped mid ride for about 25 min, Pooh broke down and I was escorted off, and pirates broke down while I was in line as well. At least I got a few free genie + for undesirable ridesThat was NOT intentional…I assure you
About a 99% chance it was a breakdown or medical incident
Hey! This does not support the falsely inflated wait time narrative! Please delete this post.just because I want to complain. I went to the Xmas party and the posted wait time was 10min for space mountain. the real wait was 45. Let’s just say I was annoyed

As far as I know, no. The red cards were a (much?) more accurate reflection of wait times, and for some reason Disney did away with them. I believe there was a post or two about why but I cannot recall the reasons given outside of there being some technology involved with the wait time estimates now.Does WDW still have those red cards that CMs would hand to people to carry through a crowded queue at the beginning to turn in at the end? I always assumed those were for fine tuning the posted wait times. We got those a few times and it was always a Barney Fife-like thrill to be chosen to carry one.

What type of attendance drop will DAK see when multiple attractions go down to be gutted and replaced?
